  1. I guess this brings the Adam Eaton trade back to absolutely full circle then, doesn't it.
  2. lol, I had a feeling he was a TLR type of player. Well here he is.
  3. The difference is if you deal all of your depth, in the first scenario you have guys you can go to internally, or deal externally to make a move.
  4. https://www.usatoday.com/story/sports/mlb/2020/12/07/brian-onora-mlb-umpire-arrested-sex-sting-operation/6483082002/?fbclid=IwAR09H1LUpMD0xkSKH9vqUpapE1-1YHxKLxuxD2exbTo-S21Hz6L4u5UYk50
  5. Plus Hahn has already said he will mislead people when he doesn't think it is beneficial for the public to know what is happening behind the scenes.
  6. I mean he was right. The talk was there and the trade was being worked on. The problem is apparently it collapsed when it talked about it so...
  7. He already was QO'd in the past and a player can only be hit with this tag once.
  8. A year, sure. I am also OK with going year to year on a guy like this, especially when we have no idea what contracts will look like in 2022.
  9. Speaking of MIcker, kind of surprised he wasn't in this deal.
  10. They shouldn't have been, but they are sure acting like it.
  11. Except somewhere around $30 million of that is taken up in contract raises and Arb raises.
  12. For the same type of contract, I am calling up Corey Kluber.
  13. This is great Rick Hahn speak right here. "Rick, reporters are saying your boss is cheap and unwilling to spend for top end talent, how do you respond to that?" "Well Jerry has a spending model that fits this move."
  14. Of course its Avery Weems. We have now come full circle.
  15. Every single move like this reduces the margin of error is the big problem.
  16. Really curious where on the scale the last piece of this deal falls.
  17. This. No sane person can miss how good Lynn is. But the Sox best seasons are still 2 to 5 years down the road with this core.
  18. I guess we are into the portion where we start taking years off the back end because they are scared to spend.
  19. The problem is by this time next year we will have neither Dunning nor Lynn.
  20. So out of Cease, Kopech, and Dunning the Sox were willing to move Dane. I hate giving up 6 years of Dunning and only getting a year back, but it seems like they must believe in Cease and Kopech to keep them instead.
