  1. More from Paddy https://www.chicagotribune.com/sports/white-sox/ct-chicago-white-sox-luis-robert-prospects-20201119-voh22woh5nghld4ezxx4bbte2i-story.html
  2. And here is one of my biggest peeves about this Presidential administration. If he wants to deem certain industries as essential, and demand that they go back to work in the most dangerous working conditions in a century, his obligation to those workers has only begun. At that point, that designation needs to open up the power and checkbook of the federal government to do whatever it takes to make that work environment as safe as possible, It shouldn't just be just buy yourself a mask and good luck. if the feds are deeming meatpacking essential, what are they doing to treat the workers like they are also essential lives. There are things we know and have learned about this virus that allow us to alter a worksite to make it much safer, but that costs money and resources, many that these businesses don't necessarily have. If President Trump wants to tell these people that their jobs are more important than their lives, I have a major problem with that. He is knowingly and willingly sentencing people to death, when with either an executive order, or by working with Congress, he could keep them alive.
  3. Leading the world in high profile counting stats is absolutely a reason to be HOFer. If he hadn't been banned from baseball, he would have been a first ballot HOF and one that got 99% of the vote. I don't know how well Rose's game translates to the modern era, but he is 100% a certain HOF player if you ignored his off of the field problems.
  4. It is federal interference in the state electoral process. It is everything that is anti-State's rights.
  5. He is quite literally attacking the wheels of democracy here. We had a valid election with a clear winner, yet he isn't just questioning the results, he is physically going after the individuals who are responsible for making the decisions at the state level, which is unprecedented in American history. I mean Hillary Clinton spent a considerable amount of time b****ing about the election, and was relentlessly mocked for it. Trump has taken that sand castle, and built a beach side mansion on top of it. This is far past questioning an election, it is attacking the actual institutions here. At the top of the list he is directly targeting the GOP sacred cow of States Rights. The Lost Cause defense of the Civil War is states rights, yet here we are. The States have their own systems in place for declaring winners in their state wide elections, and here is the President specifically targeting both the states and their processes for deciding elections. Where are all of those states right advocates at? How do they not see this is violation of every single states right covenant built into the constitution? If we are going to allow federal officials to decide an election, why aren't we getting rid of the states portion of the election and just holding a federal election for a federal office? This is exactly what Trump is asking for here. The irony is that it is the GOPs defense of Lost Cause propaganda that puts them as the defacto defenders of states rights, yet here they are destroying the system which they proport to love, all for a President who himself is a Lost Cause (punctuation intended).
  6. I am going to guess there are at least a dozen more worthy players to pick at, maybe more.
  7. I will put this out there. If I were a GM, I would pick Kincanon over Sheets or Burger
  8. The good news is no one is sharing your tweets yet.
  9. I mean it isn't like the President called Covid fake and the fully used our tax dollars to get world class care which is unavailable to literally the rest of America once he got it, all while doing nothing to protect or aid Americans from the effects of Covid.
  10. I would feel a lot worse about the comparison if this President didn't have his own quickly expanding death count.
  11. That is a LOT of ifs to hold up for a guy that isn't going to be ready to be a major leaguer on 2021.
  12. Young is bad, but Braun is a Trumpette.
  13. The Cubs are going to take up a spot on a potential playoff roster for a poor mans Kyle Schwarber? I can't see it.
  14. This is actually the best argument against picking him. You are talking about taking up a roster spot for an entire season for a guy who hasn't seen a competitive pitch in years.
  15. Johnson I could see, as he is essentially major league ready, or close enough to it that you can mix and match with him to get through a season. Sheets? Again, I just don't see it. If he played a premium defensive position, I could even see it, but even if you get their bat going, you are taking a DH/1B type, which aren't that hard to find. I can't see teams wanting a dead roster spot to get a guy like that through a whole season.
  16. We need our actual leaders to speak up, and not the people trying to stage a coup in this country.
  17. Why waste a slot protecting someone who won't get picked? Who out there is going to put this kid on a roster for all of next year?
