  1. The Sox starting rotation needs innings, badly.
  2. The Sox already offered tendered ReyLo. They knew within a pretty narrow range what he was going to cost. These talks aren't changing that. These are formalities.
  3. https://twitter.com/JonHeyman/status/1350104863510851584?s=20
  4. Does anyone have any idea what they have left to spend?
  5. Reading some old scouting reports, sounds like the kid at least used to play a pretty good OF, and the power showed up even at the major league level. He obviously had a horrible 2019, which put him in limbo last year, but there is some definite upside there from the looks of it.
  6. Projections are pointless for guys coming off of injuries, but I do hope this happens.
  7. Someone needs to edit this to say, "he's only a #3 starter anyway"
  8. You say this like it is a bad thing. They aren't going to sign 10 major league contracts for the pen. Some of these guys will need to be on MiLB deals to get them into the system as depth. Guys want chances, and no one is signing to be the 11th guy in a pen, if they have a chance to be the 5th guy somewhere else.
  9. Thinking through the years, Soxtalk has been pretty equitable in who they hit... black, white, Latino, doesn't matter.
  10. The arb trials are coming up very soon if people don't settle. That's all that is about ReyLo.
  11. The 1st three pieces I am ok with, as I think we can easily and mostly cheaply replace. I don't want to deal Kelley without getting a proven star 8n return.
  12. I am pretty lucky right now, but I know a lot of people who aren't. I live in a rustbelt town full of people with skills that match last century's job market.
  13. Two of the three were before coming to Chicago.
  14. Taking OK QBs and ruining them isn't the same thing.
  15. Bad decision making on personnel is not the same thing.
  16. After seeing Glennon, Trubisky and Foles? I can.
  17. Let me guess, Trump owned?
  18. And the Bears has?
  19. There is an underlying assumption that the Bears could have utilized Watson in a way that unlocked his talents, and based on what we have seen so far, that is a leap I am not willing to make.
  20. This is how we will end up getting the real dirt on Trump. If Rudy doesn't get paid, you can bet he will have resting snitch face. https://www.yahoo.com/huffpost/trump-wont-pay-rudy-giuliani-election-legal-work-032513094.html?soc_src=social-sh&soc_trk=fb&tsrc=fb&guccounter=1&guce_referrer=aHR0cDovL20uZmFjZWJvb2suY29tLw&guce_referrer_sig=AQAAACD_ywBzMX9rv1uL3CUy24l1S__keluMMDvnhXD1YuCr2nZVEcXByhoV7uzdpZpbqf4oYOCkg64zdtgfnH9CMF0V-gw41SWCrWJpMVKaEIbpQAigio6j0NSlJxSNQC36vdi183QZ-j2LiZX674C5pRASTuIAzmSiIu5JHV4l5OQo
  21. I thought 6 was defacto retired?
  22. If Kluber really has that much interest, I bet he gets into at least the 1 year $10 million range for a base. Maybe a performance based option year at a higher salary?
  23. I think it is the exact opposite. i think because they all got to see Nick play for years before he was drafted, everyone has already decided what he is going to be. If he was coming in from Latin America he would still be unknown and exotic, so people would be projecting a lot more optimism towards growth and advancement being possible.
  24. Welcome to the dark side. We have ketchup.
  25. Sure. But plenty of guys are cut before the end of their contract, and those are not refigured. They payout options are ONLY 4/54 and 13/54.
