Mazara was already off against a left hander yesterday. With an offday coming up, that would be three straight days off, for a guy who just came back from an injury and is trying to get back into a rhythm. No you ideally don't want him in against a lefty. Boyd has also only given you 14 innings in 3 starts, so the odds are that Mazara only gets 2 ABs against Boyd before the pen is in.

Again, the idea that you are equating a haircut to your mental health is about as direct of a kick in the testicles as you can give when there are people with actual mental health problems in this country. They don't need you exploiting mental health issues just to draw some sympathy and taking away from those who are actually suffering. Speaking of uncivil, the idea that someone would act like this is horrifying to me.

We have seen a few times in Indiana already where school systems made a judgement to either shutdown fall sports and/or not have in-person schooling to start a year, only to quickly reverse it after a short period of time. This is absolutely happening

I mean at the end of the day, it doesn't matter what they are saying to the press and the general public. It matters what is happening in the lockerroom. Hopefully Dallas didn't just run to the press first, and has been trying to work with some of these kids who are learning what a baseball schedule really looks like. We also have zero idea who has and has not said something in private. Just because it wasn't reported, doesn't mean it didn't happen. We do know the White Sox beat writers protect certain information, which is why we usually get newsbreaks from reporters outside of the inner circle. Then add to that there is literally no one in the lockerroom this year, so we would never know if someone gave a speech, had a meltdown or any other motivational technique, unless someone snitched.
