That screams "I am not serious". It's like Cleveland asking for DeVries for Kwan.

The funny part is I was one of the few slow rolling the deadline saying I wouldn't be surprised if fewer players got dealt than expected just because of their nature as not being top choices, but if it ends up the Sox are largely in tact? yeah, we got problems here.

If we were actually blocking a real 1B, I would care, but we aren't. Get your best bats in the up on a daily basis. Plus this allows for whoever plays 1B to go to C in case of emergency without costing us a DH.

Totally co-sign here. If the Sox have most of these veterans on the roster tonight, Chris Getz absolutely failed in his job.

The Sox inability to develop guys doesn't necessarily mean they were trading for bad players. It could just mean that our player development was garbage.

I will also note that at the very least, not dealing him over last winter with the Cincy offer looks a lot worse in hindsight. I won't even go back how 2023 looks.

What exactly are you saying then? Because I have no idea with all of the extra qualifiers. Prospects are overrated. Not everyone values these guys... what do you mean then?

They would actually sign a superstar contract. The Sox refuse to.

Sure, because their ownership will spend, and the Sox wouldn't.- Padres acquiring Mason Miller & J.P. Sears from A's
Well you also downgraded prospect values in two straight posts, so it kind of sounded like it was a good deal the non-prospect way.- Padres acquiring Mason Miller & J.P. Sears from A's
Didn't you just say this wasn't an impressive return?- Padres acquiring Mason Miller & J.P. Sears from A's
Always the fun of reading too much into a short term trend. We saw a bunch moved this time.- We have hope, we got The Pope!
I wonder if any other Pope's had this weirdness when dealing with people from their home regions?- Don't break it ALL down. Go for 63!!!!!
I just can't imagine how you look at this steaming pile of dog water and think, yes, more of that! Are there Sox fans who are that desperate for something to grab on to?- Luis Robert trade thread: La Pantera stays.
THat was always the danger here. The Sox have guys, but like 3rd tier guys for the most part. - Don't break it ALL down. Go for 63!!!!!
