  1. Sox send cash for Workman to the Cubs, dfa Maton
  2. https://www.chicitysports.com/colston-loveland-out-six-months-chicago-bears
  3. This is the same s%*# that has happened for years under different managers, which tells me it isn't the managers.
  4. Because only one company seeing an individual marketplace as profitable doesn't necessarily make it a monopoly. If a town only has a Wal-Mart or one grocery store it doesn't make it a monopoly. That isn't how that works.
  5. This is patently false. Comcast holds a monopoly over their own distribution network, because it is their own. There is every other cable company, satellite company, and streaming service out there, not to mention free network television out there. Comcast has 55% of television in Chicago, which again isn't a monopoly. You sound like Jerry's errand boy with stuff like this.
  6. Again, if we operated like a big market team, none of this would matter.
  7. None of this would be a problem if Jerry would operate this as if it wasn't 1955, but 2025.
  8. This was a tough one. The picks in front of the Bears were obviously a worst case scenario. They needed someone to take Sanders and for the DL/OL to drop. None of that happened. With the story of the draft being a lot of mid first round players, odds are solid that a lot of teams thought they didn't have to trade up to 10 to get a player they could get an equivalent of at 15 or 20.
  9. Fedde was a grand slam homer on his own merits. It's what we got for him that was a disaster.
  10. If he is already out for the year, it isn't small.
  11. Yeah, this feels Getzy. Also the article about "when Robert is gone" this kid could be the answer is absurd. Odds are Luis is gone by the time this kid gets his first MiLB AB.
  12. I remember outlining what I felt were worst case scenarios where he lost the team, but I didn't imagine in my wildest nightmares that he had Monstar like powers to steal their abilities. Again, never seen anything like it.
  13. With his season last year it he is already proven guilty until he can show otherwise.
  14. I recall nothing like it in my baseball lifetime. And I will swear to my grave it all happened because of TLR. It just lines up so perfectly.
  15. If Vaughn is such an uncoachable guy WTF did we pay him 6 million dollars to come back this year?
  16. Then you trade him in 2 or 3 years when you know better what you need vs literally everything now, including starting pitching
  17. Right now we need starters. You can always shove him out there if he gets beaten out later.
  18. I mean, no there is no shame in being a back of the rotation starter in 2025. That is a super valuable resource, especially if they can go 150ish innings a season. But he has to a little bit less hittable to get there, and I think he can. He's never going to be great, but I can squint and see him yoyo-ing around a 4.5 era on an annual basis.
  19. Davis Martin is another guy who has always been a mid to back of rotation guy at his peak.
  20. I mean seriously. To pretend that this was somehow the worst situation in the history of baseball to succeed at is laughable. With all of the crazy stuff that has happened in 125 years of the game, the Sox are not special in having a bad team getting a GM fired. In fact, you might be shocked to learn, that is usually why GM positions are usually open.
  21. Could they do worse if they tried? I am not sure.
