The Lenyn Sosa Thread
With the IF we have, an even meh level LF level for Vargas would help things along.

Then how are you also simultaneously able to project the playoffs in two years? I mean it is easy to say "what if", what if Schultz and Smith are what they were this year? What if the high level relievers continue to struggle? What if we continue to not develop OFs? What if we continue to play in the shallow end of the FA pool. Guess what, my what ifs are already happening and are realistic.- Fire Chris Getz
I will also note that with the teams in front of us, most have farm systems rated as good as, or better than, what the Sox currently have. Kind of hard to make up ground if the teams you are chasing are developing young at cheap talent at the same-ish rate that you are. Going off of MLB which rated as of a few days ago 2. Twins 5. Cleveland 6. Detroit 17. Sox 25. KC- Fire Chris Getz
Between stadium, debt, and the awful state of this team, I don't see them spending beyond the C/D/F tiers of free agency for a while. The Sox are largely out of trade bullets unless Luis Robert defies the odds and #1, has his option exercised, #2 is healthy for another season, and #3, gives us his 2nd both healthy and productive season in 7 seasons. This vague "well [insert team here] did it" is basically ignoring the situation on the ground. Who and how?- Fire Chris Getz
If you actually line up the players we have now, and the players still in the farm system, and start to realistically project who arrives, and when they probably arrive, the Sox are still missing a lot of line up players and power in 2027. MAYBE what happened to Schultz, Smith, and Taylor all largely flopping as starters gets fixed next year, and you can start to project them a bit more dependablely, but outside of Braden, there are no OFs. There is no realistic 30 homer power. The pen MIGHT come together, if again, all the guys who fell back this year, suddenly all move forward again. The other highest ceiling hitters are all so young. Even if this bucket of kids get to the majors, they all won't hit at once, and they definitely won't stick at once. Some kids take years to figure it out, and the Sox aren't dripping with replacements. Realistically, 2027 is a good year to maybe hope toward push .500.- Sox @ Royals 8/16
Sure, plenty more games to be played, but it hasn't been a great year overall.- Sox @ Royals 8/16
In game moves? No. Line ups? Absolutely. Otherwise tell me why seemingly Venable, Griffol, and Tony had the same line up styles?- The Future of the White Sox TV Broadcast Team
It seems like they are not pairing them together as much as possible IMO. Out of the last 5 series, Schiff and Stone has been together once. Why?- Sox @ Royals 8/16
This got me down the rabbit hole. The only American located White Sox affiliate with a record over .500 is Birmingham. Everything else between A and the Majors is at least 8 games under. Birmingham is 23 over, and DSL is 3 over. Chicago is 33 under. Charlotte is 8 under. Winston is 23 under. Kanny is 9 under.- Sox @ Royals 8/16
I am pretty sure it isn't Venable.- The Future of the White Sox TV Broadcast Team
@KC no Schiff, Stone in with Conner.- Fire Chris Getz
I have said 2030 for a couple of years now, and still feeling pretty good about it.- Savanah Bananas tonight at Sox Park
They fill 80,000 seat stadiums. Do you follow sports at all?- Fire Chris Getz
Lowering Expectations should be this teams theme.- Fire Chris Getz
It is no coincidence that once Getz started dropping the over the hill utility guys for the kids, the team improved.- Sox looking for Win # 45 tonight
Or apples to Bananas 🍌- Sox trade Andrew Vaughn to acquire Aaron Civale
If this is Andrew Vaughn going forward there should 100% be some questions on what the hell happened while he was here. Fans being sick of Vaughn sucking couldn't matter less and isn't the main issue here. Self-evaluation on the talent and the franchises ability to maximize it is 100% the main takeaway.- Sox trade Andrew Vaughn to acquire Aaron Civale
