It would be nice to be rid of that money, but I would rather load up a deal with players than to try to cram nearly $20 million a year into one deal. I am guessing this would be near impossible without taking on bad money back.

I think this off-season might be redefining "fair" right in front of our eyes.

Maybe it is unpopular but I would be quietly listening on Kane, Toews, and Keith right now. They have a decent young core coming together, but I would think about trying to realign to the future and opening up a ton of cap space if something big came along.

As I understand it most places who don't want to answer will simply say they worked here between date x and date y, and refuse to answer any other questions.

Reading what Anderson had to say about Machado at SS, are there people who are actually upset about that? That is exactly what I would want him to say. He was respectful, yet willing to fight for his job.

This is exactly what I was saying the other day. They got the same amount of control with Markakis as you would get with Pederson too.

Which means they have zero leverage on the price of Pederson.

What I still don't get is the separation between Bonds, Clemens and Sosa. Why is Sammy 50 percent points behind them? If those 2 are HOF material, why isn't Sammy? Full disclosure I would be thrilled if none gets in, but more curious about why the difference.

If you are arguing the Bulls will do something stupid to grab attention, I can't argue with that at all.
