This is still an extreme exaggeration. This is a kid that is fighting to make the backend of the White Sox top 30 today. What are you seeing in him that will push him from where he is now into the range of guys like Cease who is currently #25,Luis Robert who is #44, and Madrigal who is #49?

Likely? If Bush was likely Tatis, he would have been a top 5 pick, AT WORST. Bush has some promise and all but you just said he was likely to end up as one of the top prospects in all of baseball. I know this is Soxtalk and that is what we do here, but can we pump the breaks on the hysterics?

Looking at the Pederson rumor list I can squint and envision the following scenario. 1. Sox are close with Machado, and want to add another bat to the OF. Jimenez, Jay, Pederson, Engel, and Delmonico is a solid OF grouping. 2. Dodgers are still sniffing around Harper and want to free up a slot. Either that or Pollack rumor is true and Dodgers still need roster spot. 3. Sox and LA train together and see each others minor leaguers often. Could they see something in Fulmer? Bummer could help immediately. 4. With Manny in the fold, Bryce Bush becomes a lot less important to the Sox Or this is all trash and an exercise in futility.

You can be a fan, and still be objective. Avi has plenty of upside but he also can't stay healthy enough to start to find it. The Sox have other corners who can hit, not field, and not stay healthy. Besides all of that, Garcia will be a full free agent in a year. If something changes they can sign him again in a year. In the meantime it is time to see what others can do. If Avi could play CF, this might be a conversation worth having, but he can't.
