With the starters as limited as they are, 3-4 IP starts aren't going to be abnormal for the early part of the season.

It is being reported that it is where he got it.

Is he healthy? That would be the only thing stopping me. The arm is legit.

His reads have been 5 star, on top of his natural tools. Many elite speed CFs use that speed to cover up mediocre reads, but I have yet to see him turning the wrong way or bending a route to adjust.

Like I said I didn't see him a lot in the minors, but he could do a lot worse than following Abreus approach with runners on. Don't know if the approach is new, or even SSS, but he has impressed me so far.

You know what, you are probably right. Unlike some who feel the need to bring things down by repeating the same mistakes over and over again, I will fix it.

So the big negative on the scouting reports of Luis Robert was that he was easy to fool with off speed stuff and he had a poor approach at the plate. I barely saw him in the minors, but through 6 games his pitch recognition has been top notch, and he has crushed off speed stuff. He hss been mature beyond his years at the plate so far. He hasn't swung at much pitchers pitches, and he doesn't try too much at the plate. Robert has been lightyears past my expectations.
