I am not sure when distance from contention is included, that any team had a worse off season than the Cubs. With even a solid pen, this team would be a huge favorite, but now that they are cheap, the door to the NL Central was opened.

With the way today has gone, I vote we just declare victory and end the MiLB season today. It is all downhill from here, lol.

Then your post makes no sense. He isn't going to sit on the DL for a year with no injury. If they Sox want to dump him, he will take his money and leave, not pretend to be hurt. If he spends the entire year "hurt", he is going to be even less able to find his next contract.

Hamilton went to Charlotte, not Chicago. Anderson is active and Covey is down to replace him.

He probably is going to take a month at least to get into shape. He never really had a spring training.

He used a groundball pitcher to try to get a ground ball in a double play situation. I wouldn't look at it much deeper than that.

The food is what blew me away. A decent meal was $200+ for four of us. Even counter service was consistently $100+. It was nuts.
