There is space between not caring, and being angry over things that happened 40 years ago. When you have obsessed about the latter and want everyone to be as pissed off as you are, that's when you have a problem. Especially when you are trying to pin people down to some imaginary standard to prove that everyone else should be bitter about 1980.

Again with this? Dude, find a new hobby. Find something that fills the hole in your life.

The draft pick alone is enough for me to pass.

Except they were trying to extend him last season, and this has been Sox standard operating procedure for years now.

Repeat after me, every Sox IF who moves position is not Gordon Beckham.

Donezo.

If you think about it, the last three years of his current deal are essentially $75m deferred dollars as well when compared to a 10 year deal.

I bet if they were at 10/300, he could have squeezed 10/326 out of them so he could get his record too.

And Mendick didn't exactly light up Birmingham.

To me AZ league would be rehab, and "playing games" means reporting to his regularly scheduled team for the real season work.

Every single report is that Vaughn and Atley are the clear #1 and 1A.

That is a terrible reason to pass on better players.

I know we are still 3 months away, but as of today there has to be a barely above zero chance at that happening.

Mostly likely? A Leury insurance policy.
