There is a history of this. The biggest free agent deal signed this winter was signed with a team that won 71 games last year. Arod signed his mega deal with a Rangers team that won 71 games and finished in last place the previous season. Jon Lester signed with a Cubs team that won 73 games and finished in last place the previous season.

Call me crazy, but personally I think the NBA has become a much better product as the game has moved away from the ISO game and into the ball movement needed to create the three point shot. I love to see the ball move, and the defense scramble and adjust. It is SO much better than 8 guys standing on one side of the floor, while there is a one on one set up on the opposite side.
