  1. Winning the World series for the 1st time in 108 years justifies the means.
  2. He was a failed hitter who transitioned to pitching.
  3. Remember when people didn't think Giolito would be a good offer?
  4. Even Adam "Launch" Engel had two more hits. Dude has raised his OPS 77 points in the last 5 days. He even has an OPS over .700 for May.
  5. You are quite literally stuck in the present. No sense of the future, and apparently have completely forgotten the past as well.
  6. Just got back from Solo. Really enjoyed it, thought the casting of both Solo and Lando was really solid. Both worked hard to get mannerisms and the like down of Ford and Williams respectively.
  7. Why? What of his skillset is going to be the issue? You can look around baseball and see similar styles of hitters who age into their middle to late 30's just fine.
  8. His value is in that he puts up .300/30/100 and .900 OPS year in and year out, while also being willing to teach these kids how to be major leaguers by example. Both are super important.
  9. Jim Callis keeps saying Swaggerty is the one HS bat connected to the Sox.
  10. That's an understatement. They would either need to eat most of that deal or offer some prime prospect to get it done.
  11. Just like the other 32,000 posts, we can stop reading here.
  12. If the Democrats can't beat Trump in 2020, they need to fold the party.
  13. If memory serves me right, didn't the Padres have a 40 man roster crunch?
  14. Trust me, I would much rather them take Madrigal, but I also have more faith the Sox are able to develop a pitcher versus a hitter.
  15. lol, so what hitters have they taken that gives you faith that they would do that right?
  16. Typically when the teams start doing the pressers at the ballpark is when this stuff comes out.
  17. He has Singer over Madrigal. That would really not be the guy I would like to see them go with. I guess at that point you'd have to trust the Sox ability to ID pitching.
  18. With the guy being new to our system this year, I am guessing silence is due to this is the first time most people are seeing him. What I see so far is a guy who seems very fundamentally sounds, without a real carrying tool that stands out. He's a guy who you can plug it and he won't hurt you, but if he was a starter, you'd be looking for an upgrade.
