QUOTE (Chicago White Sox @ Dec 29, 2017 -> 01:11 PM) https://www.google.com/amp/comicbook.com/ga...uty-swat-death/ This country is so f***ed up... Hopefully this bastard is charged with at least manslaughter or whatever the highest murder charge possible is.

Eno Sarris‏ @enosarris Eno Sarris Retweeted Joel Sherman Starting pitchers won’t take their $, position players are more expensive. Relieving isn’t an easy life anyway & Rockies can offer a little more there to entice them without going to more than 3-4 years. Can extricate themselves easily from this strategy. Might as well try it.

QUOTE (WhiteSoxLifer @ Dec 29, 2017 -> 10:22 AM) #WhiteSox have had trade talks this offseason on both Manny Machado and Christian Yelich, but sources say they were not progressing toward a deal on either as of yesterday. @MLBNetwork @MLB https://twitter.com/jonmorosi/status/946739927395467264 I really am starting to get the feeling the White Sox not only want to make a winter splash, but might actually pull something off.

QUOTE (ChiliIrishHammock24 @ Dec 29, 2017 -> 01:31 AM) I don't believe that she fended him off for "about 10 minutes", but if the rest of it is true, she's really lucky he didn't try any harder because that is a massive man. Really a terrifying account to visualize reading her words. Was glad to see Plouffe's response on twitter. This is also why people don't report assaults and embarrassments.

QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Dec 29, 2017 -> 09:53 AM) Wow, the Rockies are going all in on bullpen spending. It will be interesting to see if they can win with the modern 5 inning starts idea.

QUOTE (SoxAce @ Dec 28, 2017 -> 10:00 PM) Gotta say it again, Burish is an amazing analyst. Just a natural there. Already the best one by far from the retired Hawks. That Eddie Olczyk guy is pretty all right.

QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Dec 28, 2017 -> 08:04 PM) Maybe $1.7M is a lot of money to you, lol. My point was that he still signed a major free agent contract, which I thought was the message from.the OP. Yeah, that was a drop in the bucket compared to the free agent contract he signed after it.

QUOTE (bigruss22 @ Dec 28, 2017 -> 01:19 PM) I found out this past weekend that my aunt (who is now 60ish) was sexually assaulted when she was about 15/16 years old or so. She's kept it bottled up almost the entire time, her sisters and her brother (my dad) knew a little bit, but essentially my grandmother and the police told her to not speak of it again as it would make it worse for her. So this new wave of #metoo has given her some courage to speak up about it and she is still emotionally scarred from it (very noticeable with some of her actions and the way she spoke about it). Some of the twitter comments in the Passan tweet thread just piss me off so much, seeing how much this has haunted my aunt and how she was told to handle it and how that affected her and then seeing some of that s***? Glad those guys are on the internet because I'd probably be in jail if I encountered one of them in real life. It is exactly because of assholes like this that people feel they can't report what has happened to them.

QUOTE (greg775 @ Dec 28, 2017 -> 12:25 PM) I can't believe how much you guys speak for me how do you know what I know how do you know what I see if I think I've heard merry Christmas More this year I think it's a good chance I've heard merry Christmas More this year you guys are lumping me in with everybody else that you hate very weird I'm telling you my experiences. QUOTE (bighurt574 @ Dec 28, 2017 -> 10:04 AM) As long as we're engaging in fantasy, can we just go back in time and draft Trout instead of Jared Mitchell? That's my package.... I would have been interested to even see Mitchell without a destroyed ankle.

QUOTE (witesoxfan @ Dec 28, 2017 -> 09:55 AM) The Yankees absolutely have enough bullets. You could argue that Judge for Trout straight up is a fair trade (if not lop-sided towards the Angels), and the Yankees have quite a few more pieces beyond that they could include as well if the Angels didn't feel that was enough. As do the Braves.

The Bulls are now sitting in the 9th spot for the draft lottery.

QUOTE (Soha @ Dec 27, 2017 -> 11:08 PM) That statement could be made about the Blackhawks. I think we all agree that whatever happens with the Hawks, it was worth it. Yeah, I know it is sad to see it fading away from the Hawks, but it was 100% worth it.

QUOTE (ChiSoxJon @ Dec 27, 2017 -> 09:02 AM) KAN's gonna be crowded at 1B with Zangari, Abbott, Villa, and Yurchak I'd be shocked if Abbott is out of rookie ball this year. When they drafted him they talked about him being a two years in rookie ball type of guy because of how raw he is.
