Fiery column...
This is totally Jerry trying to go after Xfinity for unfair business practices over their contract negotiations.

When will MLB Step In?
Jerry doesn't have to do so. Only the commissioner has that mandate.

4/10 Games
A guy like that would be a huge win. He was a data darling with a big arm and nothing else.

Sox "way behind everyone else" Lance Lynn
Funny how many times I have been told there is nothing wrong in the areas that Lynn spoke of.

Seeing how long Virgina McCaskey made it, I get this fear.- Fine, I’ll do it (Game Thread 4/10)
Which is exactly what makes last year so important, and not some weird sort of inevitability.- Chase Meidroth getting promoted
Hopefully the Sox aren't running themselves based on how long one of us may, or may not, live.- Chase Meidroth getting promoted
A best case scenario of this kid being down in the minors giving away say even one extra win in these first dozen games so as to get an extra 150 games of control over the life of his White Sox control is worth it.- When will MLB Step In?

Because 7 is greater than 6.- Fire Chris Getz
Again, I don't expect a miracle of the manager who has to operate within this mess. What I do want to see is a team that is smarter and plays cleaner baseball than we have for years. Some semblance of baseball IQ, especially from the homegrown guys would be amazing to see for once.- Chase Meidroth getting promoted
Cool. Now cut one of the worthless over the hill utility guys and play him basically every day.- Fire Chris Getz
This is hilarious with Joann's in chapter 11. I wonder if they are a candidate for the 78 as well?- Fire Chris Getz
Seems like you are watching to lecture everyone else on how they should be rooting for the team.- Fire Chris Getz
Trying to argue that something that has literally never happened in the 125 year year history of major league baseball isn't a big deal is one helluva of a flex, just because someone else came close, but still failed to achieve it. It's like saying that being the first consensus hall of famer didn't matter for didn't matter for Mariano Rivera because Jeter was one vote away from doing it previously.- Omar Narváez getting promoted, Lee likely IL bound per Fegan
For this purpose, I would imagine this is the correct methodology. I think you guys are talking past each other here calculating the same thing two different ways.- Omar Narváez getting promoted, Lee likely IL bound per Fegan
I think the question is where does this count day one. For example is calling someone up on the 10th count as 2 days on the 11th because they were on the active roster for two distinct days, or are you doing it as 11-10 = 1 and coming up with 1.- Fire Chris Getz
Absolutely wild that one was forgotten, I wonder why?- Omar Narváez getting promoted, Lee likely IL bound per Fegan
Because he would take up a roster spot over the winter, when he may not effectively pitch again until 2027, with a late spring 2025 surgery. The 2025 season is 100% gone. If he has an 18 month recovery, instead of a 12, he also misses the entire 2026 season, and then you again have to decide how to roster him over that winter without him throwing a pitch in a live baseball situation since 2024.- Omar Narváez getting promoted, Lee likely IL bound per Fegan
Ugh, hate to see Carela go, but this is what the roster management combined with 6 TJSs does to you. Hopefully he got a nice injury settlement and we can get him back.- Fire Chris Getz
If we don't get high level starters out of both Teel and Montgomery, we are in huge trouble, all though I guess that it isn't saying a lot compared to where we are now.- Does Robert have any options?
Look if the company line is really "we knew this was a rebuild from the beginning" it was criminal neglect to not trade Luis Robert after the 2023 season. That was always going to be his peak value, even if he kept hitting, because of all of the low early salaries and years of control left in that deal. If you didn't back up the truck for him then, his injury history was always going to be a concern. But that was the absolute top, even without the benefit of hindsight, keeping a guy like this if you knew this was going to be a disaster of a rebuild looks even worse. - Chase Meidroth getting promoted
