Only if he learns to stay healthy first.

This. Take the best deal and forget all of the BS. If it is the Cubs/Twins/Gards/whoever, take it and move on.

Or they get a metric fuckton for him.

Sending Crochet to the Cubs would be nuts.

Well the problem is we apparently don't have any scouts, and just like to ask our coaches, so this will go well.

I have no idea, but odds are at least one, if not two. Hell maybe even all three. Growth isn't linear.

Jesus, even the homeless A's are spending money. God I hate being a Sox fan these days.

There is no way on god's green earth that all of those guys are ready on April 1st. None. If by some miracle we have too much pitching, and these guys are forcing their way on to the roster, trade someone. I can't remember the last time this actually happened though, and sure don't think it will happen in 2025.

RIP Bill. Great guy.

Manfred: mlb considering “Golden at bat” rule
If a player fouls out, they aren't shooting free throws.

Then we aren't going to be good until next decade.

Manfred: mlb considering “Golden at bat” rule
It is one thing to have specialists. It is another to be able to reuse the same players. In the NBA I can't take someone who got fouled out and put Michael Jordan in for him to because he is better. This isn't even a logic progression of something we already do, such as the pitch clock. This is an entirely new and made up thing that has no place in the game.

Eh, there is no way all of those guys are ready to have respectable seasons where they throw 150 innings. Whether it be injuries, or failures, or whatever else, there will be plenty of innings to fill. Guys somewhere between Fedde and Flexin type signings are fine for this group.

Why stop there? Let's let Ohtani face Ohtani for every AB in every game, that way we always have the best vs the best.

White Sox asking for "top prospects" for Robert
Be nice to get Edwin Arroyo instead of one of the first two guys, but that is a solid base.

When a team is coming off of a 121 win season, the last thing they need to care about is who is DHing in 2025. Get your skill positions figured out up the middle, and then work backwards. DH is literally the last thing.

The goal isn't to get back to 70 wins. You need superstars to win in this game.

White Sox Top 10 Prospects (BA)
He's a top 100 talent, but he has to be able to stay on the mound. If he isn't, he doesn't have that value.

Unless the Yankees see something fixable in him that the Sox haven't been able to get to.

The Garrett Crochet trade will tell me most everything I need to know about what the Chris Getz era is going to look like. If Andrew Benitendi is in the deal, it means Chris has zero power and it just doing exactly what Jerry tells him to do, as no unencumbered GM waters down the deal for their superstar with a bad contract. Maximizing this deal could literally take a year or two off of the rebuild if you can find multiple offensive starts from this deal. Reduce that return for a stupid contract that you should just eat anyway, and that doesn't happen.- White Sox Top 10 Prospects (BA)
This has to be a big year for hitting in the minors. The excuses from the past are worth less and less with every successive day that goes by. If this rebuild has a chance in the middle term future (3-5 years) we need a recovery from guys like Ramos and Montgomery, and some breakout seasons from the guys with some potential. - 2024-25 Offseason Plan Thread
