  1. That is probably also fair. They don't have to throw him a strike because who is going to drive him in if he walks?
  2. He sounds like everything we hoping Nick Madrigal would be
  3. I just couldn't put faith in the Sox to fix his flaws when so many other similar players have failed.
  4. It is probably some combination of A and C.
  5. And even many of those "safe" picks they are afraid to play.
  6. And Quero has only recently gotten going again. He seems like a dude who needs an adjustment period as he had slow starts both in Birmingham and Charlotte, but hopefully at least his bat holds up. We could use him anywhere if he can hit, even if he can't catch.
  7. The first guy hasn't even thrown a pitch in AAA yet. Coffey could be interesting, and it wouldn't shock me if he is here in a month.
  8. He's literally still building innings after having Tommy John surgery in May of last year. He isn't going to go deep into games for a while.
  9. So who grabbed the A's at plus odds once Martin came out?
  10. Listening to a guy like Ptatc, surgery is a last resort that is used only if it has to be. The normal course of action is to try to rehab if it isn't a situation that mandates surgery.
  11. I mean who are you sending out there to suck up three innings with a two run lead. This pen is historically bad.
  12. I have zero idea what they did, or did not do. What I am saying is I am not willing to believe them simply because they have sources, anymore than I am willing to give credibility to others in similar spots. Even being right in a particular case doesn't mean anything for other situations.
  13. This isn't even about the moves that could made this year. This is more about everyone in the positional group having one of the worst years of their careers all at the same time. This is about the most of the top positional prospects taking steps backwards, or not being ready for the majors. No one expected .500 this year, but this also should not be a 40 win team.
  14. Of course they would, but nothing they do has any affect on that. Short of that, they still have 24 hours a day to fill.
  15. We quite literally have the worst positional group in all of baseball by a country mile in 2024. To a man, everyone is underachieving their expectations and abilities. Until this gets fixed, all Brian Bannister is doing is generating our next trade bait.
  16. I mean seriously. Taking one of these sides as some sort of reputable source is absurd.
  17. I find them no more credible than any other talk show masquerading as providing information to the public. I mean do we take John as credible as to what is happening in the White Sox organization because he knows everyone in it and talks to them regularly as a part of his job? Do we do that for Chris Getz or Jerry Reinsdorf? Of course not. They have something to sell, just like the Score does. The more controversy the Score can generate, the better off they are. They love every minute of this, because they know people are going to run over to hear what they have to say about what John has to say about them. It's their reason for existance.
