QUOTE (Chet Kincaid @ Nov 17, 2009 -> 09:56 AM) LOL I was just listening to the Score 670 and Cowley was on. He basically just took a dump on soxnet.net. It wasn't cool. He is worthless. Coming from him, it is a compliment.

QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Nov 17, 2009 -> 09:21 AM) Cowley must be mad because we all didnt care about his preseason skits with the ballclub I'll tell you what. The first time Cowley does something that he didn't learn from Kotex boy, maybe I will acknowledge him as something more than a second rate hack who thinks he is more important than what he is actually reporting.

Sounds like Joe is speaking from experience. Tell his mom that we all said hi!

QUOTE (chimpy2121 @ Nov 17, 2009 -> 08:06 AM) From the level300 twitter: Awesome. Lock him up forever.

QUOTE (bulokis @ Nov 17, 2009 -> 12:49 AM) Good news on Toews, Keith and Kane's extension. http://www.chicagotribune.com/sports/hocke...0,1592678.story Que up the goal music

Well you never know until you try.

QUOTE (Tex @ Nov 16, 2009 -> 10:22 PM) I wonder if Steam will be 1, 2, or fall all the way to #3 That will be the song played at my funeral.

Par for the course.

What are the ramifications of injured reserve in the NHL, when it comes to both salary cap, and how long a player has to stay out?

Now it will be included on the Obama plan.

Liberal blood I imagine.

So the wife and I are starting completely over from the first episode to rewatch everything before the next round of LOST starts again.

Just hold me.

Here we go! cheers!

QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Nov 16, 2009 -> 07:22 PM) yeah, but one bust or one bad contract or one injury to anyone and we're in real deep trouble if we hand out $18 mil a year to AGon. If things are that bad, he is always able to be traded, unless he personally falls apart.

Fantastic idea though, I say we try it.

QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Nov 16, 2009 -> 06:20 PM) Great piece from Gonzalez. Clearly these are the interesting aspects of the trade and it is important that we indicate we only are verifying the prelim discussions. Gonzalez breaks out the reasons the deal wouldn't happen, but he also points out the Padres interest in a SP, CF, C, and 2B. The Sox have 3 prospects that fill 3 of those needs and they happen to be our top 3 prospects. Bottom line, there is a lot of stuff in our system that would interest the Padres. The question is can the Sox take the risk and will they completely take a shot on Gonzalez putting them over the top for the next two years, because after that, it is highly unlikely the Sox brass would spend the necessary money to keep Gonzalez on the south-side. I am really impressed that everyone media-wise who has picked this up has been respectful of the initial report of this being in the discussion stages, and have built off of that.

Communists!

QUOTE (whitesox901 @ Nov 16, 2009 -> 04:30 PM) I'm lazy, is there any more info about this, or it is speculation from that one sites information? Read the very first post and click the link.

All I can ask is to not knock it, until you try it.

Wait, we were supposed to be disgusted?

Sox in a three way where they come out on top? I call that win, win.

QUOTE (Athomeboy_2000 @ Nov 16, 2009 -> 03:29 PM) Time to sit back and let the story develop. The thing is, this is going to be something that takes us until at least the winter meetings, if not longer.

QUOTE (elrockinMT @ Nov 16, 2009 -> 03:16 PM) True, but they brought it on themselves don't you think? I believe they did.

QUOTE (Thunderbolt @ Nov 16, 2009 -> 03:12 PM) Yep, unlikely i'll admit, but so is Adrian Gonzalez being a White Sox. $30 million over four years, when added to what Gonzalez is set to make, would almost exactly offset Konerko's salary. Crazy, I know, but I am just saying.
