  1. I am confused as to who is this 1B that a short term moderately successful Gavin Sheets has you afraid of blocking. I have to say that panicking about Gavin Sheets being good enough to block someone is a new level of Sox fan achievement I did not expect to see this year.
  2. You say that like it would be a bad thing. That's more than we have ever gotten out of him.
  3. He stole it fair and square.
  4. Shaw is a one man tankathon
  5. Pen has been great tonight.
  6. The SS never even looked him back. He picked it and ran straight to 2nd. He could have scored. The SS was playing in.
  7. Garcia with an easy 8th.
  8. The Sox with 12 runs and 20 hits in 17 innings against Cleveland after scoring 16 runs in their 1st 10 games.
  9. He had to swing after they called a pitch in the exact same spot.
  10. To be fair they are only allowed 1 DH at a time.
  11. I know there was the HBP, but that was a great inning by Banks
  12. Welcome to the internet, I see you are new here.
  13. That's just it. It isn't the same three players getting hurt every year. It is more than that. But we only talk about three of them.
  14. And they obviously don't play through injuries...
  15. Nothing to evaluate. The trainers aren't the problem, it is the Latin players who are lazy. At least that is the story that keeps sliding into the wannabe medias DMs.
  16. Someone cue Freddy Mercury.
  17. The kid has had two spotty MLB runs, with this one being his 3rd. He put up a .263 .329 .427 .756 MiLB line in 1400+ ABs. Just because he is hot now, doesn't mean his regression will be to his line last year. Even if he regresses somewhere a bit below his MiLB line as he learns the game, he is a starting MLB catcher. He put up a 23.9% K rates in MiLB, so even if he takes that to the high 20's he will be fine.
  18. It does work both ways.
  19. Look it is easy to sit here and say TrAdE hIm, but the rest of baseball knows the injury history as well. By the time he gets back he is going to have somewhere around 6-8 weeks of time to prove his health to MLB if they want to get a deal done. Then the question becomes what will the Sox settle for to get a deal done vs how far down a top prospect list will a team be willing to go to get him. Do the Sox take a lesser deal because of his health situation? Would a San Diego be willing to put a Salas in front of a deal? Would Texas be willing to push in at least one of their top OFs? Would Baltimore be willing to dig deep on to the top of their list when they weren't a month ago? Remember about half of the 10 top prospects belong to teams who aren't in a position to add a Robert, so that cuts out a lot of players.
