Mike Clevinger under investigation for domestic violence
I thought I saw the 20th was Pitchers and Catchers reporting, so really they have almost two weeks. I know the Sox are where they are, but it is almost certainly going to take an action by MLB to prevent this from being a daily news item.

Sox trade for German
Of all of the things to be mad about, getting more innings for the pen right now is not it.

Sox trade for German
In reality it is a trade that could be a nightmare. Theo was one of those metrics picks. They LOVED his spin rates. Then he had a TJS, so it will be interesting to follow him and see how he comes back.

Sox trade for German
Boston must be pretty high on Theo, as this seems like a pretty useful piece on the surface. it helps fill the pen, that is for sure.

Single game tickets on sale
Again, this franchise should be embarrassed. You can still buy an entire row of seats in the 4th row next to the visitors dugout almost 24 hours later. Almost the whole damned stadium is still for sale.

My kids are bugging me to watch this, and knowing he is in it seals it for me. He is spectacular.

Who is buying/renewing tix for 2023?
We figured out for the same money we spend going every couple of years, we can stay at a level higher of a place for the same dollars. Plus we get bedrooms, laundry and a kitchen. It also spreads the dollars out over time instead of all at once. It also sets us up to stay ocean side in Hawaii for our 25th. By then the loan is half paid off and we still have the package for 45 more years. If you go regularly, it is the best way to go. Message me if you want more details on what we did or how it works.

The White Sox over/under for 2023 wins is 83.5
I know we talked about it last year, but defense killed Giolio.

Benetti speaks...
What that story tells me is once Jason is past Sox control, he is gone.

The White Sox over/under for 2023 wins is 83.5
I know Elvis was the King of SSS, but his combined last 5 years line is 254/.302/.371/.673 with a grand total of bWAR 6.4, while getting all of the defensive WAR advantages statistically of playing SS.

Nate Mondou? 2nd Baseman Lifetime Minor Leaguer.
Yeah, I am not sure what Soxtalk he has been reading, but it isn't the same one I have. This place is all about the end of the world.

Also we can talk about Elvis all we want, but if he is holding out for someone to offer him a promise of significant time at SS to keep his career going, we can't do that. We can offer him a sit around and wait for TA to probably get hurt for a while, and a lot of time at 2B. I don't think that is going to be his most ideal offer, even if it came with the most money.

We will learn a lot about the Sox this season. It's funny because despite my ultra-pessimism lately, I can still picture the season going one of a couple of ways. I have said it before, but it bears repeating, this is the first normal spring training since 2019. There is no COVID limitations or interruptions, there is no lock out or strike, For the first time in years players can operate normally in the post season time with work outs and training, and working with White Sox officials directly and in person, instead of virtually, or not at all. It is also the first year post Tony, and I really feel like that will make a difference all by itself. Look I have no idea what to expect out of this new staff, exactly, but I have to imagine at the very least they will get the baseball rules down, and most other basics. That also it worth something. The other side is this team has zero depth and a real injury history. Can some of that be fixed with proper off seasons? Maybe? Who knows.

Single game tickets on sale
I purposefully didn't post the thread earlier just to see if anyone else had enough excitement or interest to do so. Nice work this off season squad. The interest in this squad is DOA.
