  1. And guess what the busiest thread was yesterday. Don't worry, I will give you some time.
  2. Right. I am not worried about the abuser here. That's the difference between you and me.
  3. Yes, a player committing crimes is going get some attention. I am not sure why this would surprise you.
  4. At the very least you need to quickly suspend him pending the results of the investigation, even if it is with pay.
  5. To take this out to the next step, if you are willing to defend this as oh he COULD be innocent because of this small rate of false reporting, literally no one should be mad about what the Sox are doing, because they also have this small percentage chance of being right, even if you assign them a 95% chance of failure. Seeing as no one is actually applying this same standard evenly for way less important things, I have zero interest in pretending that this is a real thing.
  6. This is exactly why victims are afraid to report. THEY get put on trail instead of the actual criminals. False reporting is such a small sliver of reports, and of those, people who are willing to report are also a small fraction of those who are abused.
  7. I have no interest in playing your games on this topic.
  8. I am guessing that MLB per se didn't say it, but someone close to the situation did, and then the cat was out of the bag.
  9. Don't be the person who looks to make excuses for people like this, even accidentally.
  10. It COULD be that MLB just didn't tell the team about the investigation. I don't know if that is true, or if I would believe them if they said so.
  11. The sad thing is that despite the White Sox claiming ignorance here, after what they pulled in the TLR hire, I can't even give them the benefit of the doubt that they didn't know what was going on. They need to do the right thing here.
  12. I have no proof, but those are all great things to say if you want to leave your current employer quietly without rocking the boat.
  13. He's 0-3 so far.
  14. To be fair, when a leader leaves, along with an entire management team, it is kind of hard to know who the next leader would be. The personality of a locker room isn't a linear equation. Who knows who emerges. Of all of the things to be annoyed with, this isn't one. Also I do like the fact that Eloy still WANTS to play OF, even if it scares me to death. It at least means he isn't a quitter.
  15. This is the main thing right here. We bought a lemon, no doubt. No idea who failed here, but glad things were changed after because he was NOT what we were told he was. All of his pluses turned into mediocres very quickly.
  16. That and it isn't 1959 anymore.
