    I am way more to apathy now. I was angry early on because pretty much everything was obvious and predictable. Now that it is happening, I feel helpless and disconnected. I watch less and go less.

    Look if we aren't going to score runs, we can't give away cheap ones. Even if Moncada keeps hitting like he was prior to his injury, he is still giving top notch defense at 3rd.

    Last night was a perfect example of the last two seasons. -Terrible defensive line up costs the starter 2 runs. player playing out of position can't make a fairly routine play. -Base running mistake kills a rally early. -bullpen coughs up the lead after a rally. -Tons of easy/quick outs allow opponents starter to work deep into game -no long balls -multiple defensive outs given away with dropped balls not showing up as errors, but extended innings and allowing extra runs.

    If nothing happens in the next month, this is a franchise that should listen on anyone that is a short term deal. If someone blows you away, you work on reforming the shape of this team into something more balanced going forward. Unfortunately, the guys who fit that description are mostly hurt and/or awful, so I doubt we see returns that are worth much to the future of this franchise. Typically a guy like Giolito should bring a huge return, but he has been terrible since COVID. Maybe we could get something for the relievers, but even they have been injured and brutal in the top cases.

    This could be a game changer if College baseball is going to pay DOUBLE what MLB does. Yet, they don't have money pay college players.

    I mean somehow the Sox are still 100% in control of their own fate. They can still win their way into a deep playoff run. The odds of that seems pretty terrible though.

    That's the thing. The division is there for the taking if the White Sox play up to their talent level. But nothing about this season to this point has looked like this team is willing to play up to its potential. Could we have a 1983 White Sox/2005 Houston/2021 Atlanta type turn around? Sure. But nothing about this season has screamed the fuse is lit to anything this team blowing itself up.
