  1. But you told me that you gave me the negatives? You furry little bastard.

An elderly Italian Jew wanted to unburden his guilty conscience by talking to his Rabbi. "Rabbi, during World War II, when the Germans enteredItaly, I pretended to be a Catholic and changed my name from Levy to Spumoni, and I am alive today because of it." "Self-preservation is allowable, and the fact that you never forgot that you were a Jew is admirable," said the Rabbi. "Rabbi, during the war, a beautiful Jewish woman knocked on my door and asked me to hide her from the Germans. I hid her in my attic, and they never found her." "That was a wonderful thing you did, and you have no need to feel guilty." "It's worse, Rabbi. I was weak and told her she must repay me with sexual favors, which she did, repeatedly." "You were both in great danger and would have suffered terribly if the Germans had found her. There is a favorable balance between good and evil, and you will be judged kindly. Give up your feelings of guilt." "Thank you, Rabbi. That's a great load off my mind. But I have one more question." "And what is that?" "Should I tell her the war is over?"
  3. This is more than a moral kick. Why aren't we talking about the genocide in Africa that is happening right now? Why aren't we talking about beheadings? Why aren't we talking about anywhere else in Chicago where someone got beat up for saying the wrong thing? Because Kotex-boy picked this particular topic. He could have been talking about a bunch of other things, and why is that? Because of his agenda. He is trying to get ratings and sell newspapers, and he knows that this works. In a Cubs town, no one cares about Freddy Garcia and Maggio Ordonez, but they can sure go for somemore selective reporting paints Sox fans as soccer hooligans. It is completely obvious that is the only reason this is brought up. Do you blindly believe and accept everything Moore and Limbaugh say? I would hope not, because this guy is as much of a liar and manipulator as those two.
  4. Unless there is an underlying public risk to not unsealing them (such as a child molester trying to be a principal etc) there should be a right to privacy.
  5. Get off of your soapbox Tex. This guy has an obvious agenda. Think about it, what are the odds of getting your ass kicked for saying the samething at a million other different places? Its not the neighborhood, its people. There are drunken idiots whereever you go. This could have happened at the Taste of Chicago, at the movies, at the beach... and probably is happening in some way, shape, or form whereever alcohol and idiots mix. Is he on the air saying how unsafe the Taste is? Hell I felt way more nervous walking around there, than I EVER had in Bridgeport. And if the neighborhood is so bad, why isn't Kotex-boy talking about feeling unsafe at Wrigley? After all their serious crime statisics are worse than Bridgeports pretty much across the board. Its because he has an agenda to fill up his phone lines, and sell that piece of s*** tabloid he writes for, and he knows that if he started writing about how dangerous Boystown was, people wouldn't want to hear it. Facts be damned, as long as the soundbyte sounds good. People don't buy what they don't believe. Jay Mariotti is a low life with no backbone or thoughts of his own. Period.
  6. I don't think I ever read that Reed was untouchable. Borchard and Rauch (predessertion) I remember seeing. Reed, I don't.
  7. Asshole manwhore PLUSHIES would have been you. Now go back to the airport and wait for Freddy with the van. Don't forget now that we have Southpaw you are treading on thin ice around here... Jerry R
  8. Heck I wasn't even trying to shill the site, as much as getting people away from the poison of Kotex-boy. Hell go to WSI even, I don't care, just quit listening to that worthless piece of garbage. I want all Sox fans to get the best and most accurate info out there, not lies and agendas.
  9. My nomination.
  10. Hmmm Kotex boy saids he doesn't feel safe at USCF? Wouldn't he have to go to games there in order to feel unsafe? Why people listen to this guy, I will never understand. He is stringing all of you along pissing you off so you will keep listening. And you do. Once again, turn off the radio. If you want info on the Sox, come here or WSI. You will never hear anything there, that you didn't hear on one of those sites first.

And of course this story makes the papers. I guess no one ever gets beat up at Wrigley because it never makes the papers.
  16. I know, but I so love surprises!
  17. Nah, Fed funds are pricing in about 4 quarter point increases through the fall.
  18. That pretty well sums it up. If we take on say $5 mil a year of Kendall's contract, we aren't going to give up a top prospect to get him. We would give up a C rate prospect having a decent year, but with no real upside. Now if we get them to take on most of his contract, then we would have to give them someone like Rauch, maybe more.
  19. But I must, I must
  20. On a side note, for the people who have no idea, this is a great info piece on the federal reserve board of trustees. http://www.usatoday.com/money/economy/fed/...6-27-fomc_x.htm
  21. Expect a .25% interest rate hike to be announced tommorrow. http://money.cnn.com/2004/06/25/news/econo...dex.htm?cnn=yes

  23. Bullpen help is an understatement. They need a whole bullpen, plus some starting pitching. I think Mike Jackson could close for them, seriously.
