If they start to do it live there will be a few reactions. Number one American's will never see that live on TV or recorded, or in any other form. The networks would never carry it. Number two, they will outrage their own people. It is one thing to know that something like that is going on, it would be a totally different thing to show it live on a Al Jazerra. By and large Muslims are a peacible people, and as a whole they wouldn't stand for that. Also if it were done live that would involve satillites which are very tracable by American technolgy. We would find them.

I would tend to say yes, just because most American attention span is about a 15 second snippet on the news. If that starts to sound redundant, most Americans will be on that remote in a heartbeat.

Yeah a group like this is great in theory, but in reality it never happens. When people die, people tend to get more extreme than they usually would. Hatred brews and that is where you get groups like Hamas and Likund. Moderation prevails during calm, not war.

Yeah, that makes sense too. But I keep hearing all of the talking heads saying, if we are going to pay Andruw Jones this much money, why don't we just pay it to Maggs. It got me thinking that if Maggs knew he would possibly have to uproot his family twice in a 6 month period, would he be more likely to take a deal from the Sox to trade off some stability for he and his family.

Does anyone else think that this Maggs-Jones/Ortiz talk could all be KW trying to force Magglio into signing an extension?

I voted yes just for the simple fact that I really believe we will lose Maggs for nothing at the end of the year. I like the fact that we get a known return and fiscal certianty out of the deal.
