Which office supply chain do you prefer?
My town only has an Office Max, and it seems fine to me. Usually I just go to Wal-Mart for something, unless it is a specialty thing.

Economic development...
It is a tough arguement because of a few reasons. One, like I said you are assuming that those all of those dollars get spent elsewhere. I know if I don't go to games, it doesn't make me more likely to go to a movie instead. Two you are talking about extra dollars. They essential monies you are saving, they are discressionary. The savings rate comes from discressionary money. You would be more much more likely to turn the money you don't spend at the ballpark into savings.

I AM THE SOXMAN!!!!!!!!!!!
I actually do a lot of work with teenagers (my wife tells me it is because I never grew up, lol) and it amazes me how many of them are so mature for their ages, and how few spoil it for all of them as a group. Heck there are a bunch of teens who post on this site, and do a damned good job of fitting in and contributing in major ways. Hell I would be willing to say that the teens on this site as a group cause less problems than the adults as a group. All of the really big blow ups have involved adults.

Economic development...
That is a tough economic arguement to make. You are assuming that if they don't go to a baseball game, that they will go somewhere else and spend just as much money as they would have.

How 'bout them Indiana boys?
I wonder how he celebrated? Did he go out and shoot his gun in the air, or did he go out and get drunk?

Bonds homers for 7th straight game
He did look at 3 strikes. I actually read that in two days time (last night and the night before) he swung at one pitch out of 29. And that one pitch was his homer two days ago. He saw 13 pitches yesterday and didn't swing at a one.

Thousands dead in North Korea
IMO it is almost certianly an accident. NK is sooooo sealed off from the rest of the world that is would be about impossible for any outsiders to have done it. And they are soooo spied (Kim Jong Il is nuts) upon that if it was anyone within the country they also would have known about it. Also as a country NK is sooo broke right now that even essential services are cut to way under sustainable levels. It could be equiptment that wasn't repaired, or broke, or not enough people monitering stuff... or it could be human error. i am sure we will find out soon enough.

I know Vasquez is good
I don't know if he could have done that either. That was one BIG strike zone last night. I think Maggs would have gotten rung up looking, before he would have walked.
