  1. Did he piss Kenny off, or are you just joking around? If that is true I had never heard that
  2. I am not sure what guard you would have left off of the East's roster for LeBron. Plus with the s***ty year that the Cavs are having, it makes it even less likely to get him on there.
  3. Very good read. Once again DUI takes a unnecesary life.
  4. He does have an option left. The reason he didn't get a call up at the end of last year is that he would have used up his last option year, and would not have been able to send Jon to AAA if needed, without exposing him to waivers.
  5. As of yet, I don't think the taxcuts should be resinded. I don't think they should be permanent either, but it is way to early in the recovery, and I think it would pull the plug on corporate spending sending us into a double dip of recession. That is the big issue. IIRC didn't Kerry also vote for the war with Iraq? To me that is an awful big thing to flipflop on. The only acceptable reason IMO to change opinions on that, is not because we had bad intellegence, but because one felt someone lied to us. (I know it is probably schematics, but you have to either constantly trust or not trust your intellegence, wrong intellegence is part of the game, lying isn't) I personally, do not want to vote for Bush. And actually the handling of the budget is one of the good examples of the deception that pisses me off about him. We all know that in 2005 there will be money going to Iraq and Afganistan, put it in the budget. He just didn't want to make the number look any worse than it was obviously, but still it is BS, IMO. And if you don't mind keeping going on this US deficit as a % of GDP (which is the truest measure) is at historically comperable levels, and is actually appreciablely lower than many wartimes. That is why the democrats are attacking the # and not the percentage. I know I am going to hear flack for this, but a government with a surplus is not supposed to happen, and isn't economically viable over a long term.
  6. Al has a new CD out? AND I DON'T HAVE IT??? SOB!

I am right there with you eye. After the Clinton years of deception, the whole Bush platform was that you could believe what they said. There have been just as many lies under this admin.
  8. The logic sounds bad because it is two separate thoughts. #1 I won't vote for John Kerry #2 For the good of the democratic party, the sooner they unite, the sooner and stronger they go after Bush. As an basically an economist, I would argue the destruction of our economy was going to happen regardless who was President. Bill Clinton was an idiot for letting the bubble blow up as big as he did, and he only did so to protect his poll #'s. And I would even argue that Al Gores probable cure for the economy would have done WAAAAY more damage than Bush's did. If you look into the raw economic numbers our whole recovery is based on military spending, and the preception that the whole economy is recovering. And because people are starting to believe the illusion, the self-fulfilling prophecy of recovery is happening. Most likely Gore would not have reduced taxes, which has been the single biggest precursor to recovery in corporate profits. It isn't a far leap to say if profits don't recover, the job markets are markedly worse than they are now. Now they are stable to recovering as a whole. Some areas are still scary, but many are underway with a real growth. Plus as I argued before that deficit number while big, isn't the monster it has been made out to be, AND it would have been there regardless of who was in the White House right now. BUT economics isn't the reason I wanted to vote against Bush...
  9. To get any of those to work you have to have closing tags after your text such as [*COLOR=red]I want this red[*/color] The part in bold is the part that you have been missing. Also you can just click the "close all tags" button up above and that will close any and all open tags you are using. Good luck man, and if you have any other queries just ask.
  10. My big point is that every vote, dollar, and delegate one of these has-beens raises is gone. Once these guys finally clear the field the won't be able to get back that dollar to fight George Bush. And with Bush having $140 million in cash on hand as of the end of 2003, that is going to be a huge deficit to make up. The guy is going to own the airwaves essentially. And every dollar that John Kerry has to spend to knock some brain cells into Dean, Edwards, and Clark, is gone. He can't use that for what they really are trying to do, and that is to take back the White House. It seems to me a waste of valuable resources this late in the game. Ah well I guess it doesn't matter to me. It looks like I am going to vote for Bush again, because I can't see myself voting for John Kerry anyway. For the first time since I have been voting, I really don't want to vote for the republician canditiate, but I just don't believe in Kerry either.
  11. Do you want your old ID changed so that you can save your post numbers, Jordan? I can fix you up if you like.
  12. The was probably the best of all of his books. Clancy was probably the most addicting fiction author I have ever read.
  13. I guess things got complicated?
  14. I honestly have a problem with that too. This was the same guy advocating the military shooting down planes on Sept 11th, using the same sources of intelligence, yet wants us to ignore them now? I don't get it.
  15. Oh Mr Grammer-Police.... wouldn't that be Y-O-U-R website :finger
  16. This is an honest question here. Why are the democratic canditates so stupid? They are $140 million behind George Bush, they have a clear cut leader in John Kerry, and yet there are still 3 morons harboring the delusion that they are doing what is best for the country by adding to the handicap for the democrats when they get around to the general campaign. Every day that there is more than one democrat running, is one less day that they can be trying to beat Bush. They need to get together, and if they really want to win, check their egos at the door, and do this. Am I the only who is thinking this way?
  17. As usual YASNY, I couldn't have said it any better myself.
  18. Umm don't forget about the guy that singlehandedly almost saved our season Esteban Loiaza... He was a cheap choice too.
  19. That was a great article, and it shows that Borass hasn't adjusted his style to the change in the marketplace. In the 90's it was a players market, now it is all about the owners, and he still is trying the same stunts that obviously aren't working anymore.
  20. Sorry, I left out the 3rd period part.
  21. They are talking about Josh Smith as possibly a top 3 pick, if that is the case there is no way he sees IU, unless the McDonalds All-Star game is there.
  22. God I hope the Twins piss off Santana so he doesn't resign there when he becomes a FA.
  23. It is now a final. The Hawks with 13 wins beat the Eastern Confrence leading Maple Leafs who had 13 losses all year The Leafs outshot the Hawks 21-2 and still lost 4-1. Craig Anderson stood on his head.
