The NHL skills competition is killer. I love watching all of the contests. IMO it blows away any of the other sports.

Well Frank being mentioned in these rumors makes all of the trashing of Frank Thomas in the off season make total sense. Piss him off so he accepts a trade. :fyou KW. Realize that if we get a decent trade, I won't be upset if Frank goes. But you don't piss on the franchises best player of this 2nd half of the 20th century to achieve your means.

Grease I totally agree with you about Wright. The last two weeks have shown me he isn't ready. Illinois and Purdue just totally shut him down. What is the NBA going to do him?

He has just spent the last two days trashing Kerry and everyone else for accepting special interest money.

I think those kind of pick ups will become more common as teams are quicker to jettison higher priced injured players, and less likely to pay them to wait and see if they will recover or not. With the stakes being high, and so many more "small" budget teams, they will drop these guys and go with someone cheap. It has flooded the market with these kind of players, and made their contract demands nearly nothing. Granted the Sox might not ever win at this again, but I think as a league wide trend you will see more and more of it.
