  1. Honestly I didn't even really care what they said, the problem was it is hard enough to understand what the hell Ozzie is saying under ideal conditions, let alone when 3 drunk guys keep screaming "Remember you don't need the fans Ozzie, yeah we do" ad naseum. Now see I thought "chair guy" was much more entertaining, and he was probably more drunk than any of the guys behind us.
  2. All though the guys that were sitting behind us kept repeating it, EVERY SINGLE TIME Ozzie said anything.
  3. Actually the last few years have been pretty succesful Rule 5 drafts. IIRC Jay Gibbons was a rule 5 guy, as were a bunch of guys out of the Tigers pen (Matt Romney comes to mind, and I know there were two more last year as well.) With teams in severe payroll dumps there are many more spots for these kind of guys.

I musta missed this the first time around, but the obvious answers to me are socioeconomic status, and cultural preferences. Why would there be a lot of black hockey stars, when the areas of the world that black people live in mostly play things like soccer, and in the US basketball and football? You become good at what you practice. I will never be good at cricket, because I have never played it. Also programming plays a part of it. I think it is a big reason that star RB's are black and star QB's are white is that is what they have done traditionally, and so that is what younger kids strive to be. People's heroes tend to look like themselves, so it turns into selffulfilling prophecy. Going to socioeconomics, poorer areas tend to play cheaper to play games. That is why most of the world plays soccer. All you need is a ball, and two boxes for a couple of goals. How much stuff do you need to play hockey?
  6. Need a couple of stilts to prop yourself up there?

Of course I have heard of her. But like all of those whiney type day time shows, I have no interest in watching that crap. But to each his(/or her) own.

Never watched her at all. Do you have opinions on Darcy Hordichuk?
  9. Well, in this one case, you might be...
  10. And as Danny Evans, how do you view it? Do you go low key waiting to see what your stance is? Or do you go aggresive trying to impress your bosses?
  11. Makes sense. I went at about 12:30 and there was one other person playing in the whole place, even though their was a pretty decent lunch crowd.
  12. If I had played? Me? On a side note I did play at lunch on Friday before heading out to Soxfest, and I couldn't believe how low the scores were. I take it many people don't play at lunch? I had a score of about 11,000 and finished in the top 100 nationally.
  13. We're poor, we're not getting anything extra.
  14. no problem, its fixed.
  15. So basically the same two weeks at Tax Cut... cool. I was curious if one was better than the other. Sounds like they are basically the samething
  16. Jeesh, 350,000 hits, and a $205,500 bid
  17. Wow. And I thought our management was messed up.
  18. Out of curiousity, how long does the deposit take for TT? They said 10-14 days for Tax cut. It has been a week so far...
  19. I did all of my families taxes on the computer, using the Tax Cut program. It was sweet, since I used it last year, I imported all of my info, and did my return in about 5 minutes, literally.
  20. It seems the FCC is about to step in and do some investigating. http://www.cnn.com/2004/US/02/02/superbowl...kson/index.html
  21. Out of curiousity did you call AM1000? Maybe they will let you beat on the Score?
  22. Did anyone go to the Family matters Q&A? I think I had more fun at that one than any of them. I did ask a question at the Jose, MB, Hawk, and DJ session. I asked if they thought the Twins or Royals were our biggest competition for 2004. And actually I asked DJ that query before the session started while he was signing some autographs and he said that he is much more worried about the Royals. He said all of their best players and most importantly leaders, are gone. Jose when talking about the Twins, said don't count them out because of the cheating they do at the Hump Dome, and went on to site the Carlos Lee HR that Torii Hunter took away. Jose said to watch the US flag. When the Twins are up it doesn't move, when the Sox are up it is blowing like crazy. He said that ball that CLee hit was an easy HR, and it was hit way harder than a ball that ended up going out of the park for the Twins during the same game.
  23. That just goes to show you how respectable that show is. There is a good reason I never listen to that crap.
  24. Bonilla was a Rule 5 draftee in 1985 http://www.baseball-reference.com/b/bonilbo01.shtml Rad I know we drafted because I saw him pitch in South Bend when they were still an A ball team for the Sox.
