  1. It would have been interesting to have a manager who was willing to use both Hendriks and Kimbrel in various situations to see if he could actually maximize having two closers at the back of the been. Instead Tony just kept doing the same thing day after day, and watching it fail day after day.
  2. I wonder how much they backdated this? That might be the telling part. And for Jake this is way better than being sent down as it allows him to still draw and MLB check and be around the team.
  3. The one thing I keep thinking is that the Twins have just as bad of an injury history as the Sox do, but I do think their hitting approach would be different, so I would guess more, but still as many games missed due to injury.
  4. Put Tony on the banner. End this all now.
  5. Soon to begin the "Showcase" of Yosimar Cousin, Yunior Tur and Geisel Cepeda at Telelo Vargas, stadium of the Estrellas Orientales in the Dominican Republic.
  6. If they stay there the entire season, their bonus is tax free, essentially giving them about a 40% higher cash payout than if they had played in the US. It is a way of outbidding teams without offering more money. It makes sense for both the player and the team.
  7. My crazy prediction this winter was that Kenny does indeed finally step down, and Tony steps into his role. I have yet to see anything that is preventing that from happening, in fact it would be the perfect "exit strategy" to keep him from resigning or being fired, while still leaving graciously.
  8. He hasn't looked confident at all since his return. I wonder if he is still achy.
  9. And he's done neither. Bravo.
  10. How about now?
  11. And it is worse than it has ever been. They are baseball learning disabled.
  12. There is just so little info on him, but also he is destroying DSL. With the Sox system I would say definitely after the top group. Maybe around 15 or 20? The back half of the top 30 is pretty sad.
  13. He suffers like we do? Cool, then retire and end both of our sufferings.
  14. Look if Rocker is willing to share medicals and workout for the team, as well as sign for a slot type bonus, you take him every time if he checks the boxes. He has front line potential if he healthy and recovered. He would also be a quick mover potentially, which you know the Sox would love.
  15. Hopefully this is a good sign. He really started to pick it up the last week in AAA, because if he can get back to his potential, this team is a ton more dangerous.
  16. Good news. It would be really nice if these guys are actually healthy and to contribute.
