Sounds like something a Cub fan would say.- If the team has to sell, who would you be willing to part with…
If nothing happens in the next month, this is a franchise that should listen on anyone that is a short term deal. If someone blows you away, you work on reforming the shape of this team into something more balanced going forward. Unfortunately, the guys who fit that description are mostly hurt and/or awful, so I doubt we see returns that are worth much to the future of this franchise. Typically a guy like Giolito should bring a huge return, but he has been terrible since COVID. Maybe we could get something for the relievers, but even they have been injured and brutal in the top cases.- Your Mid Season Top 10
One of the pundits let loose that Montgomery will be in his top 100 mid season ranks. EDIT: It was Jim Callis- 2022 AL Central catch all thread
This could be a game changer if College baseball is going to pay DOUBLE what MLB does. Yet, they don't have money pay college players.- These are not the Chicago White Sox

That's the thing. The division is there for the taking if the White Sox play up to their talent level. But nothing about this season to this point has looked like this team is willing to play up to its potential. Could we have a 1983 White Sox/2005 Houston/2021 Atlanta type turn around? Sure. But nothing about this season has screamed the fuse is lit to anything this team blowing itself up.- 6/27 Sox @ Angels: One Win Changes Nothing, Fire Tony La Russa Into The Sun Gamethread (8:38PM CT, NBCSC)

I really wish we could separate the destruction of spring training this year, and the players themselves.- Your Mid Season Top 10
Great thread idea. I don't know that I know enough to really rank them, but I am very excited that Colson Montgomery has gotten off to the first half that he has had. It really gives the system merit when he is out there just absolutely destroying folks in A ball. Wes Kath has recovered nicely after a .500 OPS to start with in April, to push himself up to .730 on the season. Norge Vera is by far the guy I am most excited about, as he might be the one guy in the system with star starting pitcher stuff. Oscar Colas is out there destroying baseballs in A+ without any red flags in his numbers. You'd like him to walk more, but outside of that, he is looking really good. Christian Mena is also off to a great start in the lower levels, really nice K numbers, walks under control, solid H/9, and improving as the season goes along. Loidel Chappelli has been absolutely destroying DSL, and seems to be a guy who is ready for US ball. I get he is 20, but it is nice to see him doing what he should to inferior competition, as we haven't always saw that. I know Kohl Simas is down with injury, but what a start to the season he had. 12.3 K/9 and a 1.024 WHIP. Tommy Sommer is also putting up huge K numbers at A ball with 82 K's in 65IP. Not many hits against either, but giving up a few walks as an older guy. Darrio Borrero is off to a nice start in the ACL as is Victor Quezada in the search for the next Latin American shooting star. Bryan Ramos had the huge start, huge slump, and now seems to be adjusting back again.- 6/27 Sox @ Angels: One Win Changes Nothing, Fire Tony La Russa Into The Sun Gamethread (8:38PM CT, NBCSC)

Actually, I do. The difference in taxes is why. The crime trope is BS that is false statistically. I thought facts matteted in your industry? Maybe this is why no one trusts you all anymore.- 6/26 Fire Tony La Russa Into The Sun Gamethread (1:10PM CT, NBCSC)
