  1. LIke I said before, I have no doubt Indiana will whore itself out in order to try to win this. Really it is up to Illinois to how deep they want to dig.
  2. According to my sources, the Mets have committed more money than their 2026 international signing bonus pool allows. The rumor in the industry is that Wandy Asigen will likely not sign on January 15th and that the Mets will try to reduce his bonus. Here is the list of their signings.
  3. It is amazing we still don't know what happened there.
  4. If you can get a 50/50 split, and agree to a solid revenue definition, they will come out ahead. I don't think either of those will happen though. Most other sports are different through because their primary funding is a national deal, which almost all teams have significant, but very different, local deals.
  5. The off sounded like Petty coming off of a bad start in the majors, and two dudes coming off of TJS.
  6. I can't help but look at the fact the Sox and Luis Robert deals with Cincy seem to have a clear delineation. For a couple of million dollars, they could have let him walk. For $20 million they can have him for a full season. And if the Reds reporting is true, they can trade Robert and pay $10 million to get three pitching prospects with some rust (injuries, poor MLB performance, you know the Getz Special). The question then becomes, are the three pitching prospects worth $10 million to the Sox.
  7. With as many teams as are out there in financial trouble, it would actually be a great way to acquire talent. Why teams and GMS are scared to do it? No idea.
  8. If the Sox (or Dbacks in this case) would have taken on the full deal, the returns would have been much different.
  9. Honestly? The Bregman deal is going to age horribly. They should have just manned up for Tucker after trading valuable assets for him.
  10. This is a great place to end this.
  11. Alpha Don't Tread on Me turns into Beta Obey and Comply so fast, it will make your head spin.
  12. People are being murdered in our streets, targeted by a unaccountable, non-police force, you know the whole reason for the 2ndA in most discussions, and in this case, you can't rush fast enough to justify it. We have toppled governments for less. Like I said previously, exactly. This is exactly what what I expected.
  13. Yes, the idea that Americans aren't being targeted and killed on the streets extrajudiciously these days is exactly the response I expected. I am not surprised that confused you.
  14. The White Sox have one of the smallest fanbases in MLB after 125 years in so-called "Bridgeport", which is more depressed and isolated than the South Loop. I am not sure why you 100% ignore the current condition of the fanbase in relation to where the park is now.
  15. I am not surprised at all by this response either. All lives matter after all, right? Oh you guys aren't telling that lie anymore? Same with the extra judicial executions in the streets being a reason for regime change? Save the one way feelings.
  16. There are going to be plenty of starts to be had.
  17. And now the people who were offended by that are celebrating public assassinations.
  18. The President had a full out meltdown over it, and there was a boycott attempted. It was far from "nobody cares". The same people also called for boycotts over the Redskins name change.
  19. This seems like an important time to point out the political affiliation of Cubs ownership.
