It's not a "sure" answer. Nothing in baseball is. it is 100% playing the odds. But at the end of the day, when you have a guy who has qualified for an ERA title ONCE in 7 years, it would make sense to believe that this year won't be different.

Rodon being on the roster and useful in October is a legitimate question. Kind of hard to be a contributor if you can't play. The question about Rodon has never been about ability or potential. It is 100% about health.

The thing is, a strikeout is always a .000 OBP. Working a count is one thing, but simply focusing on strikeouts isn't the right focus.

Looking at this one on paper, I am thrilled to push this game out.

Not really. The ball is dead right now, and it is holding offense down for offenses in general in Chicago, and not just the Sox. This team has yet to play a warm weather game, and the offense is reflecting that. The showed a stat over the weekend that the Sox have lost something like 4 homers in their first 8 games due to the cold conditions.

NOW you get it. It has nothing to do with costs, but profits.

Yet, we have been at record revenues and franchise valuations, so why haven't prices stagnated or even gone down?

This is unreal. Toronto is going to have such a home field advantage this year.

You might not like the name, but he has a fair point. It's not like prices were cheap and just exploded after the lock out. Prices have been going up forever, and would have even if the poor destitute owners got every ridiculous demand they made.

The earliest reviews on Ramos were very interesting, and now his play seems to be blowing up. He could be a top prospect as this season goes on for a system that severely needs it. I know we all muse about He Who Shall Not be Name, but hopefully we found another in Ramos, and don't deal him this time.

Patio Parties are one of the last great deals for this team. the unlimited drink period, plus being able to carry about a couple of beers at the end actually makes for a pretty reasonable experience. Tailgating is 100% the way to go though.

The Sox are a weird combination of the cheapest ticket prices in town, but ridiculous everything else. I haven't bought a beer at the game for years just for that reason. When it hit double digits, I was done.
