  1. All of the injuries aren't evidence that altering the game of baseball like never before starting with spring training 2020 had an effect? This didn't start with this year. Everyone was altered 18 months ago, and nothing has been the same since. The unprecedented injuries followed.
  2. The explosion in injury numbers around baseball show different. This isn't just a White Sox thing.
  3. 29 other teams would claim him. I don't think people appreciate exactly how bad and thin real life catching talent is around MLB.
  4. I really, really hope these are all fake-ish injuries.
  5. And if you look around the MLB playoff teams, they all have their own holes and flaws too. The Sox are far from alone here.
  6. Or so the Germans would have you believe... RIP.
  7. With Leury OK and sliding back to down to his utility role, the need for a guy who plays defensively up the middle isn't as great, so its a good time to audition the kid. Heck Romy might be doing Leury's job next year.
  8. Its a pure roster management and maximization move.
  9. If it still exists, you give hinm a QO, and then if bidding really does get into 3-4 year range, you let him walk. Given his history, you just can't put those kinds of funds into someone who is hurt so often.
  10. Things changed this year with his injury. He was absolutely being ramped up earlier this year, but they definitely put the training wheels back on after he got hurt.
  11. The really good news here is that the way things stack up, the Sox and Houston are pretty well locked in unless something crazy happens in the next few weeks. That means no matter what happens in that AL East craziness, the Sox can only play the winner of the the three teams, as the two wild cards will meet first, and then the winner of that game gets Tampa before the ALCS round. If the Sox beat Houston, they get the AL East survivor.
  12. I think Mike Wright exists as a long man to suck up innings they don't want to waste on an arm they care about for the post season.
  13. If the White Sox have taught me anything, its that they have no idea what the rotation will look like next year, let alone is 2024. Don't believe me? Go back 5 years and look at everyone's "future rotations" and line ups.
  14. So effectively the Sox have lost 12 more innings than they gained in the 9th? Assuming 4 run per game, that accounts for like 5ish runs?
  15. This. He was straight away, and made a line straight across before turning into an L shaped route. If he gets the right angle, Luis is there.
