  2. This is some spectacular hindsight.
  3. Bravo. And yes, this is exactly how a few people sound when dealing with this trade.
  4. Act of God? Sure. Terrorism? Probably. Theft? Absolutely. Owners telling everyone not to come in and then collecting on it because of working conditions they created? Can't see it.
  5. The White Sox are in the playoffs back to back years, in a measure thanks to this trade, and you still don't know.
  6. Yeah, 26 man roster, don't know why I can't get past that mental block, lol.
  7. Nothing now, he is on the 40, so he is locked down. He doesn't matter until the end of spring training when he either has to make the 25 man roster, or pass through waivers.
  8. I can't imagine anyone offering insurance on something that is 100% due to their own actions, and fully within their own control.
  9. For sure, but I think it has almost been worse with statistics bias towards hitters from that era.

  11. That late 60s, early 70s era was so offensively challenged that for some reason a lot of guys that should have been obvious took forever to get in, or never did. 30 homers a season then is like 50 today. A .270 average is .300 today.
