  1. I think the answer now is the same answer that it was when people were overreacting to a 38 OPS+ against RHP. Andrew Vaughn is your future. There is no better option the Sox have than a healthy and peaked out Andrew Vaughn, so you do everything possible to get him there before the playoffs. You playing him regularly through the good and the bad so that he keeps learning on the job and hopefully progressing towards being the hitter that he can be. If he is still on the struggle bus in the playoffs, you mix and match with him as needed, but then April 1 next year you are running him into the line up another 150 times and 600 PAs. Rookies especially ride these waves of extremely good and bad. It happens, and if you watch baseball you should know this. Few rookies have the upside of Andrew Vaughn, and as an organization you do what you can to get him there.
  2. They clearly should overrreact to a guy who has made an incredible leap this year, and never played nearly as much as he has played this year in his life by sending him to rookie ball because he hasn't hit with RISP and two outs. Because we all know that the way to hit major league sliders is more batting practice, in rookie ball. Instant gratification much?
  3. With 3/5 of the starting rotation out? I mean it would be nice to not nuke the pen right before the playoffs.
  4. The pre-gaming started early tonight.
  5. Still, that is just delicious.
  6. To be fair, that was probably 100 mph plus in the knee.
  7. It is worth mentioning that Tuskegee was centered around the withholding of treatment from these people, which is quite literally what a group of people is volunteering to do here.
  8. Imagine being Oakland. Falling back in the wild card race, and then losing to a SP who isn't even good enough to be an opener.
  9. He's going out to LF.
  10. He's getting ready to hit.
  11. Eloy grabbing a bat.
  12. Eloy trying to stretch and of course smiling
  13. Either hit Eloy in the knee or directly underneath it
  14. He's up and holding around his knee.
  15. Eloy got drilled
  16. The funny part is Yoan is 2nd on the Sox in games played this year, and 4th last year.
  17. Is TLR still alive?
  18. By my count Lambert was supposed to be like 8th or 9th on the depth chart as a SP. No he's not great, but what do you expect at that point?
  19. Good news: Saw 30 pitches Bad news, got 1 run with the bases loaded, nobody out, and a run walked in.
  20. Blew him away on the challenge.
  21. Nice thought by Grandal trying to push that up the line
