  2. Except for the states forcing people to go back to work...
  3. There is one solution here. Treat this like they do another virus in HIV, and allow criminal and civil prosecutions for people who spread this due to their own willful ignorance.
  4. I will let someone else add the specifics, but wanted to get a thread going for this...
  5. I played a lot of ultimate in college, and do miss it. Never got as much into the golf, but these guys are crazy skilled.
  6. The Conor Gillaspie era didn't do it for you?
  7. You can debate all you like, but if you get that upset when someone responds to what you are talking about, that is an issue.
  8. I responded to what you said, but I didn't stay on point. The only "attacks" have been you using phrases like "delusional" and "idiot" just because they don't agree with you. Look here at Soxtalk people have different opinions, and if you can't respect that people will disagree with you, you won't make it here long. I don't know why responded to the points YOU made upsets you so much, but again, you need to be tougher than falling into name calling to make it. My post was full of stats and the like to prove my point. Yours was all about how how your point wasn't really your point, and then some name calling. If that is too much for you, you might need to find a new home soon.
  9. Literally the only thing that Yoan is missing right now is homers, and we know of a shoulder and hand injury which are power sapping injuries. He is on pace for about a 5 WAR season. He's putting up a very big OPS+ even without those homers, by still hitting in the clutch (1.071 OPS with RISP) and drawing a ton of walks besides his other hitting numbers. He's also putting up another excellent defensive season, following up another one last year, despite his COVID problems. His metrics are all WAY up over last year, including hard hit and line drive percentages. I keep saying it, but once the hand heals up, he is primed for a huge second half.
  10. Yes, you are name calling because you can't stay on point, but I am the one who is sensitive.
  11. This is a great point. Since he got here, Yoan Moncada has put up 11.2 WAR. He has 2.4 WAR this year, and is essentially playing every day. Kopech has put up 1.5 WAR, 1.4 WAR this year, and after having TJS, and then another injury for a while this year, is working out of the pen because he hasn't gotten enough innings under him to start every 5th day. Honestly, I think both have incredibly high ceilings, and really are almost identical in how good they COULD be. As of today I think there is no question as to who has been better, and who will be worth more in the short term in Moncada. If nothing else, Yo can play every day, Kopech is still building up. Because of that I don't think there is any question as to who has a better chance of being more valuable going forward, as Kopech has a longer distance to travel to hit his ceiling. He still has to ramp up to being able to pitch 180 innings, which isn't something done overnight. Yoan just has to add back his power, which he has already showed. Finally, I see no point is getting so upset about this debate that I need to call someone a name, but hey, I guess that is what it is.
  12. Ah yes, we are on to personal attacks again. Here's a solution, if you don't want something responded to, don't bring it up.
  13. Like I said, unless it was part of a bigger deal that got the Sox a player that helps for the next few years, Blackmon is a non-starter in a trade.
  14. We would handicap the team for years for a 2 month solution. Pass. Let me put it this way, Leury Garcia has a better OPS+ than Blackmon, at almost $20,000,000 less.
  15. Yoan Moncada is putting up some disgusting numbers with RISP, which is where RBI come from mainly. Hitters can't control who gets on base in front of them. RBI are a terrible measure for effectiveness because hitters only can hit with who is on in front of them. Yoan Moncada is KILLING it in chances he gets with RISP. If you are using RBIs to call Yoan Moncada a disappointment, you are doing it wrong,
  16. Moncada RISP in 88 ABs .354/.500/.569/1.069, 171 OPS+ Leury RISP in 77 PAs .359/.413/.594/1.007 165 OPS+ The big difference is Yo has 18 walks and 17 Ks because they pitch around him, while Leury 8 walks and 19 Ks because they don't.
  17. For Story? That would be a terrible move. Bring someone like Marquez with, now we can talk about a deal.

  19. Maybe they already had a "deal" with him so it didn't matter?
