Of course Tony doesn't think this is a big deal. This a part of his demented moral code where swinging at a 3-0 pitch is worse than 2 DUIs. But again, once he opened his mouth to the media, he no longer gets to decide how big this story is. It is now free in the world. Of course Tony doesn't want to get publicly mocked for this, and thinks everyone should do think what he thinks. If anything, it tells you how out of touch he is that he sees this as completely normal.

Again, if Tony has nothing to say, this never gets off of the ground. But when you say something stupid to the media, you lose control of your words.

Just because it doesn't fit the narrative doesn't mean the disctinction isn't important. Missed means he didn't know. Ignored means he did. That is REALLY important to the story at hand here.

MY point is that you are 100% wrong here. All of the interviews and written materials very clearly show that. It was also that you calling people people liars while talking about respect and sportsmanship in the same post would be bad enough by itself for the depth of the hypocrisy that you just showed, but the fact that you are 100% in that assertion actually makes it worse.

Joe McEwing said that Yermin missed a take sign. That is am important distinction and correction here meaning, according to our 3B coach who would be giving the signs, that Yermin DIDN'T actually know he should be taking.

When talking about something that is mostly subjective, calling people liars is basically a personal attack. When the evidence is all out there and you are 100% completely wrong, it is a slap in the face to everyone who you are disagreeing with. You want to get an attitude about unwritten rules, and sportsmanship, yet write a post like this? You were hypocrite as soon as you hit send.
