I never thought there would be a scenario where I wanted Ozzie back, but no doubt he would be a gigantic improvement here.
-
Except when they lose, then its the players fault.
-
That's three current White Sox players who have publicly shown up TLR now.
-
Baldelli played this perfectly. He said nothing after the game last night. He waited until the bases were empty to throw at Mercedes. He went out and defended his guy, instead of yelling at him, and even got the ejection to back him up. The Twins got to see their manager publicly back up their player. Meanwhile our guy gets a 93 mph fastball thrown behind him, and Tony never leaves the dugout. In the post game he publicly supported the team throwing at his player. Again.

And of course the point that you have been willfully ignoring to make this "argument" is that if it is too early to decide on the status of a team for this season, it is also wrong to tell someone they are wrong for deciding the status of a team. Invoking a historic perspective can only be done after the fact. Statistically the reason teams like 2005 Cleveland stand out is because they are anomalies. Typically if a team buries themselves double digit games out they don't recover, and the original poster is much more likely to be right than you are.

Yes, you got me. I am 70 years old and just got the internet. Either that or you have a history of getting personal with people who disagree with you, to the point where you have been previously banned from Soxtalk for going after posters with bad faith arguments and personal attacks. The irony is you have been all over this thread making a bad argument to a problem that you invented and no one has, one upping with additional name calling with each post in an attempt to cover up for the audacity that someone would disagree with you, to cover up for the hole in the original theory. If that bothers you, do better.

So predictable.
-
Stop talking integrity like you are some sort of a message board super hero. You tried trolling someone, failed, and are trying to pretend it never happened. Again there is zero chance of getting that troll job validated.
-
If your fandom depends on people liking a manager, you have already lost.
-
Your gotcha of a gotcha, 1/4 of the way through the season, based on something that never happened, is not sensible. Final answer.
-
We all get you love the guy. You defend him every time someone is critical of him, no matter how justified it is.
-
I think you and Tony are sharing the same bottle because I have zero idea what this even means.
-
Playing your game validates the troll job you were trying to pull off with your argument. It's not happening. Come back when you want an actual discussion and aren't just looking to troll posters.
-
Baldelli played this like a fiddle. Threw at Yermin, stood behind his player, got ejected for him, and his team rallies to tie it up.
-
You disagree with what? That Tony publicly humiliated one of his key players? That the players took publicly Yermins side in social media postings?
-
You are really trolling hard here. You made a bad faith argument, with a wrong example, and are now running with the goalposts to reframe it into something else. It was obvious what you were trying to do there, no matter how you try to change its presentation.
-
Tony LaRussa just backed the bus over his own player publicly, and got mocked for it by his own players publicly. Are his players irrational haters too?
-
You act like he hasn't given ample reasons to disgree with him both personally and professionally. If the last 24 hours don't tell you that, I can only wonder why else you can't see what is right in front of your face.
-
He's almost certainly getting a suspension for that.
-
Correction, he does dumb shit every day.
-
That is pretty thin limb you are standing on.
-
So according to the unwritten rules, now Tony has to tell a Sox pitcher has to throw at a Twin, no?
-
He threw a fastball behind him. Spare me the BS Baldelli.
-
TELL HIM TA!
-
Ah yes, the unwritten rules police are here to make sure no one makes bad assumptions, by using bad assumptions to prove it. You saved us all.
