Defensively. Damn sure not offensively.

He's right about David Kaplan. That dude is a totally clueless Cubs homer.

Indeed... 1.) Rally Crede's walkoff vs. Indians 2.) Pierzynski's walkoff vs. Dodgers 3.) Dye's walkoff vs. Angels Rowand's homer against Trevor Hoffman and the Padres was pretty sweet as well. I guess I don't rank the division clincher against the Tigers up there because we all knew it was going to happen sooner or later.

http://www.moviesoundclips.net/misc/americ...tics/nagin2.wav If Mayor Daley said that he wanted Chicago to become a "white chocolate city", would that be racist? :rolly

Sam Smith is the Phil Rogers of the NBA. I like Pierce a lot but I'd rather obtain a better big man (center) via free agency. I want to make sure Chandler is playing PF next season.

Roids are definately a possibility. But G&T made a good point about the Homerun Derby. Remember Konerko's 2003 season after he was in the Homerun Derby in 2002? Konerko said that the Derby screwed up his swing.

Twins are better than the Indians, White Sox, if..

The Twins signed Batista because he can play 3B and he was cheap... mainly because he was cheap. The Twins needed to add some power and Batista can hit homers but he is still a terrible hitter (AVG and OBP-wise). But they don't have too much to work with in Minnesota with such a low payroll. If Gardenhire uses White as his full-time DH and doesn't make the mistake of playing him in the outfield, I think Rondell could stay healthy for the entire season. -
That homer off of Radke was pretty sweet. The Timo homerun pose is hilarious. DJ's call is even better. :puke http://chicago.whitesox.mlb.com/NASApp/mlb...d=cws&ym=200504 April 9: CWS @ MIN • Perez's homer: 56K | 350K

LOL, I found that part funny. Agreed. Gillick realizes that the Phillies need more pitching than they need Abreu. And Abreu's contract is blocking them from spending anymore money on starting pitching this offseason and 2007. No, it just looks like $13 million in 2006, $15 million in 2007, and a $16 million team option or a $2 million buyout in 2008... http://www.mlb4u.com/phi.html

Those are three great games. Comcast must not be able to replay the Pierzynski walkoff game against the Dodgers since it was on WGN. That was one of the best games of the season.
-
I got the point. Not all of his 179 AB's were terrible. But most of them were... ^^^^^
-
Did anyone see the Celtics playing the Timberwolves at Minnesota? Wally Szczerbiak made a bucket and drew a foul and proceeded to slap hands with ex-teammate Trenton Hassell. A few seconds later he started cracking up. It was pretty funny.
-
One AB doesn't make up for most of his suckitude off the bench.

Well, the Twins signed Rondell White to be their DH. He's probably a better bet than Durazo at this point. If Durazo was healthy, I'd take him over White though. -
The sad thing is that if Urbina really didn't attempt to murder all those people, I'd take him in our bullpen. Podsednik LF Uribe SS Abreu RF Konerko 1B Thome DH Iguchi 2B Pierzynski C Crede 3B Anderson CF IMO, that would be one of the best lineups in the entire MLB.
-
With Ozzie as our manager, who knows? Urbina Ozzie. World Series MVP or not, Abreu is a better player than Dye.
-
Agreed, Dye's contract is awesome. But are you just worried about Abreu's second half numbers or do you think he may have been on the juice? Just curious.

Durazo is a good hitter but he's pretty much a DH only (he sucks at 1B) and he's still recovering from Tommy John surgery. -
| 2006 | 2007 | 2008 ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Contreras | $8 MM + $1 MM signing bonus | | Dye | $5 MM | $6 MM team option or $1.15 MM buyout | | | | Abreu | $13 MM | $15 MM | $16 MM team option or $2 MM | | | buyout

The main theme among Bentz, Lopez, Malone, Munoz, Randolph, and Reynoso is lack of control. I think whomever shows the most control against lefties in ST will probably win the job.

That's what it looks like. Cuddyer will be competing with Lew Ford and Jason Kubel for the starting RF'er spot. Cuddyer could still be used as a utility man though. He can play 3B, 2B, and the outfield.
