El Duque was on the Expos for a very short time, but he never pitched for them due to injury. The White Sox got El Duque from the Yankees for Antonio Osuna and then dealt him to the Expos in a package for Bartolo Colon in 2003.
Good point. I was assuming that Urbina would be found not guilty. If he was, he would likely be able to pitch to start the season. Dotel said he doesn't think he will be able to pitch until midseason.
Do you really think the ball will bounce our way in 2006 like it did all of last season? I know we were a really good team but damn, we seemed to get all the breaks last year. Kenny improved our offense this offseason because it really wasn't all that good last year. He traded for Vazquez as protection for Garland leaving after 2006.
No, it hasn't. I know it's a tough thing to quantify but I heard on the radio that almost every team that tries to keep their World Series team intact fails to repeat the next season.

I actually thought El Duque would have negative trade value due to his suckiness and contract, if that is possible. Vizcaino is a mediocre to bad reliever. Young is the only player this team will miss.
If you can get Tejada for Garland, Uribe, and prospect(s), you have to do it. It looks like we will have Garland for only one season and Tejada >>> Uribe.
