QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Feb 23, 2005 -> 07:27 PM) They named a dance craze after him... EVERYBODY POLK-A!!! Shame shame. Somebody ban this man! :headshake I'm starting a "Worst Post of the Year" thread and this is probably going to be the winner. Congratulations.
  3. Somehow it has to be the Republican's fault, right?

QUOTE(Texsox @ Feb 24, 2005 -> 09:52 AM) IMHO the defense is looking for one person to hang the jury. Over a balcony.

Just finished George Washington biography. Now I've started "The Case for a Creator."
  6. Great idea, but in my experience people gape at a guy changing his tire 15 feet off the road. Do they use the curtains for that? PS Anybody find a pic?

QUOTE(WilliamTell @ Feb 23, 2005 -> 04:07 PM) I love reading about the early presidents. Washington, Madison, etc. Some of them like Madison don't get the credit they deserve and it's always fun to learn about them. I'm in the middle of creating an entire library of Presidential biographies. I have a lot of newer ones and a Lincoln one. Now, I've started at the beginning. On to John Adams next.

QUOTE(Texsox @ Feb 23, 2005 -> 01:33 PM) Why is anyone surprised that some Iraqi citizens support our efforts? I hope we aren't extrapolating that to mean the entire population is happy to be living in a war zone, where buying bread could get them killed. During the Vietnam War, the north Vietnamese could have printed hundreds and hundreds of pictures showing that Americans did not want to be at war. Yet we all know that our society is never 100% behind anything. Although Reagan - Mondale came very close. Just attempting to even things out a bit, Tex.

Funny you should post this today. I just yesterday finished a 754 page Biography about George Washington. Tough read, but very interesting and informing. I had never known that he freed his slaves and wanted all slaves to be free until I read this book. I knew he had slaves, though. Why is that?

I used to go through about a case of Pepsi every 3 days. I forced myself to go diet and lost 8 pounds the first week. I rarely drink any pop now.

QUOTE(Queen Prawn @ Feb 22, 2005 -> 06:27 PM) Diet coke or diet pepsi. Wow. Most people I know are dead set for one and against the other. Not for both. I prefer Diet Pepsi, but I don't mind Diet Coke.
  20. QUOTE(Porkchop @ Feb 22, 2005 -> 05:54 PM) I called Luke Wilson and he had some spanish music as his mailbox.... btw this is my first post Welcome to Soxtalk!

  22. QUOTE(WilliamTell @ Feb 21, 2005 -> 04:07 PM) Yay I'm in third but I'm gonna change my name from DT's Racers to something else. That sounds real stupid, I just had to make a name real quick. You're not in 3rd. I am!
  23. QUOTE(Queen Prawn @ Feb 20, 2005 -> 06:30 PM) Ricky Rudd: Tire issues (had this happen to him a bit last year where they were running great and relativiely new tires blow) Jeff B: Equipment issues (see his last two years with Roush to know about the car issues he's dealt with) Front of the pack: same group of guys (would love to see some one new up there every now and then - like when JB led for about 6 laps ) It is the same s***, just a different year. I am just glad Mark Martin and Rusty were in the top 10. Like Scott Riggs? Just saying.
  24. QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Feb 22, 2005 -> 04:06 PM) http://www.forbes.com/business/services/fe.../ap1841837.html That's wierd, the first time the link didn't show up or the post for that matter... Stay off our NASCAR band wagon, poser! :finger
