QUOTE(RibbieRubarb @ Mar 8, 2005 -> 11:13 AM) I suck at photoshop, so I'm sure someone here can do a better job than me... But I couldn't resist trying! Very nice! -
Sounds pretty simple. I hope he makes it through alright.

QUOTE(Texsox @ Mar 8, 2005 -> 08:43 AM) Actually, of everyone on the GOP Media Network, O'Reilly is my Fav. He will take on GOP wrongs and compliment DEM rights quicker and without choking. [/color] I agree. That's why I can't stand him!

I was happy. My girlfriend and I had been dating for over a year, and so we decided to get married. My friends encouraged me, and my girlfriend? She was a dream! There was only one thing bothering me, very much indeed, and that one thing was her younger sister. My prospective sister-in-law was twenty years of age, wore tight mini skirts and low cut blouses. She would regularly bend down when quite near me and I got many a pleasant view of her underwear. It had to be deliberate. She never did it when she was near anyone else. One day little sister called and asked me to come over to check the Wedding invitations. She was alone when I arrived. She whispered to me that soon I was to be married, and she had feelings and desires for me that she couldn't overcome and didn't really want to overcome. She told me that she wanted to make love to me just once before I got married and committed my life to her sister. I was in total shock and couldn't say a word. She said, "I'm going upstairs to my bedroom, and if you want to go ahead with it just come up and get me." I was stunned. I was frozen in shock as I watched her go up the stairs. When she reached the top she pulled down her panties and threw them down the stairs at me. I stood there for a moment, then turned and went straight to the front door. I opened the door and stepped out of the house. I walked straight towards my car. My future father-in-law was standing outside. With tears in his eyes he hugged me and said, "We are very happy that you have passed our little test. We couldn't ask for a better man for our daughter. Welcome to the family." The moral of this story is: Always keep your condoms in your car

QUOTE(LosMediasBlancas @ Mar 8, 2005 -> 09:35 AM) Any boxing fans here? Finally there is a reality show mostly targeted to men. "The Contender", anyone catch this last night?? It was kick ass. I'm not a real big boxing fan, but I thought this show was done really well. I have to admit that I got a bit teary-eyed when the guy was in the shower after he lost. Are they all going to 90 minutes or was that just for the premier?

QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Mar 8, 2005 -> 08:37 AM) How did you know in advance he was going to be there? I didn't hear about it until that day. You had to have a ticket. A guy I know through the Knight of Columbus had a bunch and called me Thursday night.

I had the oppurtunity to see George W Bush speak at Notre Dame. It was a town hall meeting type. Including him, there were 7 people on stage. They spoke about Social Security. I've supported Bush's policies, but have always cringed when he speaks. That being said, I must say, in person, he comes off a lot better. He worked the crowd well, and joked a lot! It was a good time, even if the crowd was hand picked. There was one guy that stood up and started saying, "Mr. President! Mr. President." The Secret Service was on him in no time. One guy said something to him and he sat down. Later, I noticed him clapping a lot, so I have no idea what that was about. Anyway, Republican or Democrat, seeing the President speak was quite a thrill. Especially for this amatuer Presidential historian.

QUOTE(YASNY @ Mar 8, 2005 -> 05:57 AM) After posting that, I had a memory start nagging at me. However, this was shortly before Clinton took office. So it's 4 ex and 1 sitting Prez. Nixon passed on April 22, 1994. So from Clinton's inaguration until that date, we did have 5 living ex-prez's. I think after Clinton took office he got them all together and I remember hearing that it was the most ex-Presidents together at one time. Don't know about the most alive at a single time. I guess if one had some time they could figure it out. Not it!

QUOTE(olp_nch @ Mar 7, 2005 -> 09:37 PM) hey, i dont know if you all can help me, but im a life long sox fan from minnesota. I am currently looking to move to chicago soon and have no clue about where to live. i dont know what areas are nice or not so nice. im looking for a 2 BR in a decent area but not spend a huge amount. anything would be helpful thanks 2 BR for not a lot of money? Ha! Sorry, but you're in for a big surprise. Go to Indiana. You can buy a house with a 2 car garage and an acre of land for what you would rent a 2 BR apartment for in the city. And you won't have to park 4 blocks away. You can leave your keys in your car at night, unlocked. You don't have to put up with gunshots, constant sirens, etc. Live the good life, 40 miles southeast! City dwellers!

QUOTE(FlaSoxxJim @ Mar 7, 2005 -> 02:46 PM) It had to happen eventually. No back-handed compliment or sarcasm. Bush nominated Acting EPA Administrator Steve Johnson to the top job permantly. He will the first career EPA employee to head the agency and for once there will be a scientist in the top spot. http://www.enn.com/today.html?id=7265 Sure, he's going to have to push a lot of the weak Bush environmental agenda. But he will be able to communicate with scientists and hopefully will demonstrate enough moral conviction to not just sit back and watch EPA rules get gutted or allow EPA lawyers to roll over in court and let industry steamroll environmental safeguards. He also has 24 years logged as a protector of people and the environment, rather than having any long-held ties to Big Energy like we might have seen in other candidates. OK, GWB... you got this one right. Feels good, doesn't it, Jim?

He's always been fat. He's just not wearing the verticle stripes that are so important to us fatties!

QUOTE(NUKE_CLEVELAND @ Mar 3, 2005 -> 03:32 PM) The biggest, and most obvious, difference though is that the media industry has a great deal of power in swaying people's opinions of the issues by the nature of it's work and that's why when the news is reported it's very important that it is done in a non-partisan manner. And the teachers have a lot of power over children. The teacher's Union is one of the most powerful Unions.
