A friend of mine just got married in Las Vegas on Saturday. His brother and wife, me and my wife, another friend and his wife and another friend all got there on Wednesday and Thursday. His brother was the only one to see him before Friday at about 9:00 pm. Now, most of us haven't seen him in more than 2 years on account he lives in Baltimore. It turns out that his fiance didn't want him to be out too late. OK, fine. Friday night, time for the bachelor party. We hook up with him at 9. He says he has to be back by midnight, and no boobies. I'll concede the "no boobies" rule, but "midnight?" In Las Vegas? That's like 6 pm anywhere else. The wedding wasn't until 5:30pm! And he also said that she wanted him up by 7am. Makes no sense. To make a long story short, he didn't budge and went back at midnight. We all went out and had a good time without him. During the cajoling of trying to get him to stay out longer he stated, "You don't understand, this is about Nancy (His fiance)." His brother said, "No, you don't understand. This is about BOTH of you." I just think that a good marriage requires a bit of freedom and a pretty loose leash. My wife agrees and was pretty much more pissed off than I was about it. Thoughts?
  2. Fox has it on Fox News. And Fox News replayed it later in the night. I missed both of them, though, since I was living it up it Las Vegas!
  3. I totally agree! I ran X-Country as well and the rules were the same for the IHSAA (Indiana). In my experience, though, the Judges had a history of waiting until the race was over to DQ people without informing them prior to the race. I was in a relay once and we had 3 different colors of socks, so we were DQed. I guess you can have one person different than the other three, but not two. Total BS. Not a safety issue like jewelry. I just couldn't understand as an 8th grader how that made our team run faster. . It was the Conference meet and the Judge was from the 2nd place team. BS! :fyou

:rolly They wonder why people hate politics and politicians.
  5. Yes, number 2 was the best!
  6. They're "black" to me. I think it would be more offensive to call someone "Afircan-American" when they are in fact Dominican of Jamaican or ...you get my point.
  7. I have to agree with this. If there were actual bodies I'd be outraged, but we're talking about minute remains. Ashes. They offered to make a memorial park on top of the landfill.

    Yeah, wtf is with that?
  9. Why the ? I think that show is possibly the best on TV. Anytime you get down about people and society, just watch this show. It's incredible what they do for people. Yes, there ARE some good people out there. I'm not afraid to admit that I usually ball my eyes out eveytime I watch it and sometimes get weepy telling the stories later on. PS, sorry about hijacking your thread, SS2K4!
  10. It was over for them on Friday. If there was sulking to be done, maybe they did their share on Friday and Saturday. How many days should they dwell? I don't mind them going out and getting blasted. It's been one hell of a pain in the ass season for them. You have to admit that.
  11. Great race, I thought! But, then, I'm a Jr. fan. Big call by him to go with 2 right side during that last pit. How about Sadler and his interview after the race? Funny stuff! And Jr cussing on TV!
  12. Sorry, I watched "The Longest Yard" on ESPN Classic last night. Great stuff! My Sundays usually consist of Extreme Makeover - Home Edition, but I couldn't pass up The Longest Yard last night.
  13. I think that's kind of tacky. I have some experience with the funeral industry and that's something that isn't normally done. In a story about the deceased, but not in the obit. However, I DO understand that widower's last comment about her voice still being heard.
  14. Very Nice!

Can you find where I, personally, have cited the bullet proof vest issue?
  17. That would have been funny, but after Tex's comment it didn't even bring a smile to my face.
  18. Very nice pun!
