    Eclipse

I remember one in 4th grade and we all made those pinhole things and went to see the beginning of it and then went to lunch. When we came back from lunch, the teacher gave us the thingys back and I got a different on that the hole had closed on. I told her I couldn't see through my hole and she was like, "We have to go inside!" I still hate that b**** for that! I got to see the one in '94? through a welder's helmet, though.

Yeah, it was really cool, but not a "once in a lifetime" event. It happened last year as a matter of fact.
  5. I'm a junkie, so I'm loving every minute of it.
  6. Yeah, it's a lot better than "Chief Justice Ruth Bader Ginsberg."

    Cardboard boats

They have a race every year for the Summerfest around July 4, but I've never gone to it. It sounds like good fun, though. Good luck heads!
  8. Even Clinton realized that. That's why he never sent it to the Senate.
  9. Oh man, I missed that! I think I pissed my pants!
  10. Wasn't that supposed to be in green?

    Downtown today?

I'm not buying that. It's too warm right now for fog. It must be the Dems creating fake smog to show how bad on the enviornment Bush has been.

    Downtown today?

Why is it so damn hazy? It's almost like there's forest fires around us.
  13. I wish I had a nickel for every time that has appeared in Chicago newspapers.
  14. Once in a lifetime? Can you only go door to door if you're under 18? I think they'll have plenty of oppurtunity to do this again. I just think it smells too. Mandatory Volunteering? Ha! That's funny.
  15. Non partisan? That's a joke. Did they go to notoriously GOP neighborhoods? I'll bet not. These kids should be in school anyway. I would feel that way regardless.
  16. Are you saying we should have bought their votes?
  17. I don't. If I don't know enough about the candidate or judge or referendum, I don't vote at all. I think that's important to know for a new voter - that you don't HAVE to vote for someone or something.
  18. I vote at the Knights of Columbus hall less than a half mile from my house. Very convenient!
  19. Never thought of that. Good point.
  20. I'm sure if you added the amount of time those guys are on those networks versus the amount of time there's a Stefanopolus (sp), a Rather, Carville, etc, I'm sure it would be a landslide.
  21. I think I know where it is. Same place as my selective services card.
  22. Let us not forget that Kerry wants to raise the minimum wage. That also would take it's toll on a lot of small business owners.
  23. I've never had to show my card or license a single time in either and election or primary. I do live in a small town, though.
  24. You nailed it right on the head, Mike!!!!
