Our's were Cardinal Red (More maroon, though) and Columbia Blue (Like UNC blue) Brown has to be the worst. Garth Brooks has a song that talks about a town being real boring:

QUOTE(Texsox @ Jun 21, 2005 -> 06:51 AM) Just the usual confrontations and differences of opinion, stated in the heat of the moment. If you weren't such a moron, f***ing idiot, you would know that. That's it! I'm leaving Soxtalk!
-
Welcome to Soxtalk. There's nothing to fear. Everyone is equal in my eye. Movie? BTW, what happened in the game thread?
-
Not bad. I like it. Its not lofty a goal. Very attainable!

Love the opinions here! Mine would have to be the CLee grand slam against the Cubs. It made it better because I was there with 3 Cub fans. The driver wanted to leave in the 8th. I told him to F off and leave my stuff by the porta potty and I would take the South Shore back to Indiana and find a way from the station to home (about 15 miles). Well, he never left me, but b****ed the whole time we were stuck in traffic, while I had a HUGE smile on my face behind his back!

QUOTE(drowninginflame @ Jun 20, 2005 -> 12:11 AM) We tailgated for the first time today and it was awesome. Got Drunk on our own beer and cooked up some burgers and dogs. We didn't spend a dime inside, I am tailgating any chance I get from not on. Speaking of which we are tommorrow and friday It's selfish people like you that make it impossible for us to increase payroll! Yes, tailgaiting is great. Once you get to know the people around you, you can sample their food and they can sample yours. I's like a smorga - smurgasbor - smoresig - It's a s***load of food!!

QUOTE(Chisoxfn @ Jun 19, 2005 -> 08:02 PM) Bmac will get his first win when he pitches Monday or Tuesday...book it. Does he get a shaving cream pie for that?

QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Jun 20, 2005 -> 07:56 AM) I love the look on the older girls face That's Reagan.

QUOTE(Dick Allen @ Jun 20, 2005 -> 06:45 AM) He definitely was not in contact with the rubber. No RHP is in contact with the rubber on a throw to first. Only LHP's are. Correct. If he was, it's a balk.

QUOTE(Chisoxfn @ Jun 19, 2005 -> 10:56 PM) Oh my god....you hit a spot with me. My girlfriend lives with 3 other girls and below their staircase they keep all their shoes. It must be a pad about 10 by 10 stacked 3 rows high. Never in my life have I seen so many damn shoes. I was in shock....could you imagine how high of a shoe building all the women in the world could build if they simply stacked all their shoes on top of one another. Ya, totally random thought, but it just goes great with my 1 pair of shoes (for a suit) my pair of dress shoes (to wear with jeans or slacks...non suit), my pair of sandals (rainbows rule), my pair of basketball shoes, and than my tennis shoes (for everyday wear). All this talk about shoes reminds me of that South Park metrosexual episode. God that was great how pissed off Mr. Garrison gets A shoe building? Jason, are you on drugs? Who thinks of something like that?

QUOTE(YASNY @ Jun 20, 2005 -> 06:40 AM) If you consider Minnesota a threat, you have to consider Cleveland one as well. They could be one of those young teams that is beginning to believe in themselves and getting on one of those magical rolls, like the 2000 Sox. At this point, I'd consider them a potential threat worthy of keeping an eye on. Agreed. I'm surprised at all the "bad mouthing" of them. "They're inconsistent." "They've played weak teams." "They'll cool off." Sounds very familiar to a Marriotti column about the Sox from earlier this season. Yes, they're a threat. Yes, they're for real. Yes, we have to play well against them.

QUOTE(Texsox @ Jun 19, 2005 -> 09:21 PM) I remember rabbit ears and channel 44, then sportsvision which was a pay over the air subscription service that was easily stolen via "black boxes". Those decisions are being felt today when we are tens of thousands per game behind the Cubs in attendance. ON TV.

QUOTE(FlaSoxxJim @ Jun 17, 2005 -> 09:09 AM) He also referred to Randall Simon as a "fat monkey" if I recall correctly, and I don't think that can be traced to the good book either. Let me check...Nope, you're right.

QUOTE(FlaSoxxJim @ Jun 17, 2005 -> 12:30 PM) Just an errant attempt at a joke. Oh. OK. Funny one!

QUOTE(FlaSoxxJim @ Jun 17, 2005 -> 11:54 AM) Even if you could get it to spit out the exact directions you want to take, you realize there will not be a "Teleport Me There" button, right? Boy, the over-reliance some people have on their computers... By the way, I just ordered a pizza online. Now can anybody help me figure out how to download it?! What? You lost me, Jim. I know the way to go. I'm trying to print them out for someone else to save him more than an hour of traffic and construction.

QUOTE(TheDybber @ Jun 17, 2005 -> 11:27 AM) You can try Rand McNally. I think they allow you to find places you want to go in between where you start and where you finish. On the Road Thanks. That's close, but it's still not doing what I want it to do. Oh well.

Is there a site that let's you "customize" your travel directions? I want to go a certain way, but Mapquest makes me go a screwy way.

QUOTE(rangercal @ Jun 17, 2005 -> 07:03 AM) This may have a chance to blow up like the john rocker incident. maybe not as much but close. I don't think so. Carl is making a biblical opinion, whereas Rocker said Asians were the worst drivers, etc. A little different.

QUOTE(Steff @ Jun 17, 2005 -> 08:02 AM) Ditto. BTW.. you coming out for a few tonight? No. I really wish I could. Weekdays are tough. The wife goes to work when I get home. Have a few for me!

He should have that attitude. I wish him luck. I always liked him.

QUOTE(Steff @ Jun 16, 2005 -> 02:17 PM) And apparently the only one working today.. Everyone else I called I got voicemail. Slackers.. Do they get the same off days as the team?

I had the "Pac Man Fever" album. Yes, on vinyl! Earlier this week, while searching the cartoon channels fro something for my daughter to watch, the Pac man cartoon was on. Classic stuff! She didn't want to watch it.
