I am the only person in Nashville who is not a song writer, as you will see below, but I thought it would be fun if we customized Don't Stop Believin' and came up with a Sox verision.
Nothing wrong with the original, I have been listening to it every morning. This is just to pass the time until the zero hour tomorrow night. Add your suggestions below as I need lots of help with it. I have started it and took a crack it, but it could use some help.
Just a small market team, livin' in a Cubbie world
They took the Central train goin' to Houston
Just an Ozzie boy, born and raised on da South Side
He took the midnight train goin' to the Cell
A dinger leads to Boston gloom
Angels soon whine and get their doom
For a smile they can share the night
The wins goes on and on and on and on
(Chorus)
Sox fans, waiting, up and down Shields Avenue
Their shadows searching in the night
Hang Tight people, Sox will reward our devotion
Hiding, somewhere in the night
Swinging hard, Paulie gives chills,
everybody wants a ring
Payin' anything to roll the dice,
just one more time
Sox will win, Stros will lose
Cubs were born to sing the blues
Oh, the movie never ends
It goes on and on and on and on
(Chorus)
Don't stop believin'
Hold on to the feelin'
Streetlight people
Don't stop believin'
Hold on
Streetlight people
Don't stop believin'
Hold on to the feelin'
Streetlight people
