Never satisfied
Is there an option/buyout with Jose for next year, or is he a free agent?
-
Is Griffey available?
Those 50 homers were steroid induced.

Is Griffey available?
I would love to have him. His days as a .300 hitter might be over, but he would be a great asset to the team. Not my money.

Jason Stumm
Is Jason part of the invisable Top 50 Prospect List?

KW: Please trade for this guy
Did you read about the great base running maneuver he made yesterday vs the Cubs? Tagged up from third on a pop up to the second baseman 10 feet off the dirt in short center.

Fan on the field in LA last night?
I was watching that game as the incident happened, and the annnouncers spent more time talking about the incident at Sox Park than what had just happened. No camera on the scene whatsoever.

KW: Please trade for this guy
I know I've discussed this elsewhere on this board, but with all of our problems in center, and the fact that we have two really promising kids in the low minors at center, you would think that we would be doing everything possible to rush them at least a little bit. I realize that this would do nothing for this year, but the same problem will be here for the next three years, unless we make a very expensive trade/free agent acquisition. Why Jeremy Reed is on a five year development program is beyond me.

Gary Sheffield
Between 2001 and 2002 Sheffield made a lot of noise that he wanted out of LA. I'm not sure why -- can't remember. I think Frank Thomas was doing his annual winter pout, also. I was hoping then that we should go for it, even if we had to take Karros off their hands, too. Frank, I'm certain, would have gone for it, because he loves LA. Turns out that they made the deal for Brian Jordan of the Braves. As far as I know, the trade possibility was never discussed. Anybody know any different? That trade would have been awesome for the Sox, but it is just a daydream on my part. I can't help wondering if it was ever discussed.

Buehrle!!!!!!!!
The Clintons are Cub fans. When Emperess Hillary had Shammy Sosa sit with her while her lying husband addressed the nation, I about threw up. And my view has nothing to do with politics.

KW: Please trade for this guy
Last year Rowand looked better than Lofton after the first month of the season.
-
Rowand
You almost have to have good defense in center and shortstop.
-
AND THAT'S A WHITE SOX WINNER!
Donkey: please explain. Did not see anything.
-
Rowand
Rowand was just fine in center. Just could not hit.

Manuel, Colon Suspended
Reinsdorf saves about $ 1/4 million in wages.

Harris Injury
I really wasn't second guessing -- just thinking out loud again. Plus, when we traded for Harris, he was thought to be primarily a second sacker.

Sox scouts at the BOB
I never noticed that about Grace, but you might be right. If you want to consider all sports figures for camera hogging, no one can top Jerry Jones of the 'Boys. He never met a press conference he didn't like.

Twins down
Twinkies now up 4-3. Chad Bradford did not get the job done.

Sox scouts at the BOB
May I digress on Grace? Nothing to do with the Sox. In his rookie year, Harry Carey was doing the play by play, and Grace had long blonde hair and a lot of other youthful good looks. Someone on the other team hit a high pop fly about thirty feet or so behind first and 10-20 feet foul. So Grace races back and camps under it, losing his hat in the process. All you can see is his youthful face and looooong blonde hair blowing in the wind. Of course, he caught the ball, but Harry never mentioned that. All he could talk about was how good looking Grace was, and if he were a young lady in Chicago, he would do whatever it takes to get to know him, etc. etc. Harry went on and on about Grace's looks for several minutes, forgetting about the game completely, until Stone took over. Funniest thing I ever saw Harry do.

Sox scouts at the BOB
I think they like Jeff Mantei as their closer. They are still anxious to get rid of thier shortstop, Womack, who is now hitting about .225. I doubt if they would be interested in Konerko and his salary, because they have a really promising rookie (Overbay) at first. They are choking on a lot of big time contracts

Harris Injury
A couple of years ago we traded Chris Singleton to Baltimore for Harris. Do you think KW would like to have that one back? Chris is now hitting about .312 for Oakland and plays a better center field than anybody on the Sox.

barons box score for tonite....
The Barons got 17 hits, and Stud Scott Bikowski did not even play. The kid is hitting .347. I guess they sat him because he's a lefty and Rick Ankiel is a southpaw. Does our minor league guru have a bio on Scott?

Barons Insight
Rex, how do you like Bikowski?

So sad
Randy Johnson should be okay when we play the D-Backs. We'll probably get Randy and Schilling.

About our Warthog pitching prospect
Yes, it makes sense. Meaux must be a paradox. We trade for him, he does well at A ball, for which he is too old, we like him because of his great control (a rarity), we don't move him up, can't justify putting him on the 40 man roster, and he will be drafted by some other team next winter where he will be given a chance above A ball.

If I'm the GM...
Why would the Orioles take Konerko? They have Segui and Conine. No one will take him off our hands. Maybe the Mets?
