QUOTE (T R U @ Mar 21, 2009 -> 11:57 PM) Uh, Role Models was awesome.. dunno what you guys are thinkin ^ QUOTE (nitetrain8601 @ Mar 23, 2009 -> 12:52 AM) Role Models was f***ing great. Anyone who didn't like that smokes rocks. I Love You, Man is pretty good too. It was different, but good. Agreed on both account. Role Models was the 2nd funniest movie of 2008 IMO, after Pineapple Express. I Love You, Man was VERY funny, but not great. Paul Rudd is quickly climbing up my favorite actors list.

QUOTE (Sonik22 @ Mar 22, 2009 -> 12:56 PM) I've had some very screwed up dreams. This year I had a dream that i was a WR for the Patriots and in practice i could always catch the ball from Tom Brady perfectly. But in games it seemed like I could never get it done. After I dropped this pass in the game I came over to the sidelines and Bellichick was yelling at me saying "why can you catch in practice but not in the game!". I just responded with an "I don't know coach". Then in the middle of the football field there was a tree all of a sudden. In the tree there was a cougar, and the cougar started chasing me, and when it caught me i woke up. Also this year, I had a dream that me and 3 of my friends were running around a city wearing a bunch of military gear and we all had guns. It was like the whole country was in anarchy and we were part of some fighting force. So my friend Tom and I split from the other two and we went to the top of one of the buidings so we could like "zip-line" into an adjacent building, which was a hotel. So we zip lined onto the balcony and im the first through the glass door. There was a family of 4, the parents on the bed and the two young kids on the floor sleeping. So I whipped out a pistol and shot the two parents, then turned and killed the two kids. My friend Tom turned to me and yelled "why the f*** did you do that!?". Then i woke up. I don't know how in any way you can interpret that dream but i was so confused when i woke up. That made me laugh hysterically for some reason. Oh man, THAT is awesome.

I have had hundreds of dreams where I get into an altercation and when I punch or attempt to punch, I have absolutely no force behind it. As if the forces of nature are holding me back from punching. They are all just super slow and inflict no pain. It pisses me off all the damn time. And I can never run. Ever. However, I have somehow been able to control dreams. And in about 2 instances that I can remember, I have been woken up during a dream and was able to continue it upon falling back asleep.

QUOTE (BearSox @ Mar 22, 2009 -> 10:20 PM) How many times was I actually wrong though? Also, I'm talking about just baseball, not my views on politics which usually I get flamed for by everyone. Oh man, I wish I still had my sig full of all your quotes and guarantees. There were at least 5 I had down.

I read somewhere that Marcus Jordan is strongly considering Iowa State. Eww. -
QUOTE (fathom @ Mar 22, 2009 -> 02:38 PM) Syracuse matches up very well against Oklahoma. Oklahoma isn't a very good outside shooting team, and they have a few big bodies to match up against Blake. Syracuse will have at least 2 bigs foul out vs Oklahoma.

I have Pitt winning, but after 2 straight mediocre to bad performances, I'm not too confident about them over Xavier. Though Xavier doesn't rock my socks either.

QUOTE (SoxFan1 @ Mar 15, 2009 -> 05:09 PM) I like that match up vs Utah for them a lot. Ya. When I watched the selection show, I had a feeling they'd win, and I picked them in all my brackets. Point for me.

QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Mar 20, 2009 -> 01:10 PM) And Marquette falling apart at the seams. Shame. I thought they were a legitimate FF contender with a healthy James. They came back to finish the deal.

QUOTE (danman31 @ Mar 20, 2009 -> 01:31 PM) Byron Eaton with the first sick late finish of the tourney. Not over though. Whoever took that ball down the court after the free throw should get cut. Way to be prepared Bruce.

QUOTE (Flash Tizzle @ Mar 16, 2009 -> 04:58 PM) Honestly, I've grown to appreciate soccer. I work at Toyota Park and have seen nearly every Chicago Fire game since 2006. When Chivas USA or a foreign national team (mainly Poland) arrive to play, and the stands are full, the players definitely respond. It's typical of Americans to suggest the sport is ruining our country, since we're the type of people that like to think of ourselves as unique and special. If we say something is dumb, it's dumb -- regardless of what the other 95% of the world thinks. I believe we'll know when soccer is here in America when hooliganism comes around. I pray everyday for this. I remember laughing last summer, I want to say, when fans in some midwest city had a large brawl during a soccer game. The stories read, "Is European soccer coming here" and everyone was speculating about the possible escalation of violence. This wouldn't even grab a headline in Europe. I hope it gets to the stage where, like in Europe, motes have to be created to act as a barrier for fans. Or to the point where teams are threatened to play in an empty stadium. All Chicago Fire fans do is ignite smoke bombs in the stands, throw the occasional piece of garbage, or on the rare occasion run on the field and experience a free ass-whooping. I pray to God that Soccer never becomes famous in America. The exact opposite of this article would happen, and the USA would RUIN soccer. The MLS already tarnishes the sport because it's s*** level of play. The unique and special line in your post is spot on. See: American Football, unit system, the term "soccer" etc.

QUOTE (The Critic @ Mar 15, 2009 -> 04:48 PM) Wow, another mall security guard movie, this time with the not-overplayed-at-all Seth Rogen. File that under "Don't Fail To Miss". Ya, I thought that was weird since Paul Blart just came out.

QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Mar 16, 2009 -> 12:16 AM) Besides that? Hard for me to explain why. Again, quality non-conference wins have become crucial. I knew they were in when they waxed Purdue last month. Ya, they beat Duke, but they also lost to Duke. And I maintain...they lost to freakin' Iowa. QUOTE (whitesoxfan101 @ Mar 16, 2009 -> 12:51 AM) 1. The at large field sucked this year. 2. They have 2 really good players 3. I think they were the 5th best team in the Big 10 this year, and would have taken them over Minnesota (who I would have had in), and Wisconsin and Penn State (I'd have had neither in.) 1.) I'll give you that I suppose. 2.) You're characteristics of "really good" must be different than mine. Either way, because they're good doesn't mean they should automatically get in. Davidson has Steph Curry, and they didn't get in? I'd say Georgetown has a couple really good players. They didn't get in either. And for comparison, Georgetown beat Savannah State 100-38, Michigan beat Savannah State 64-62. Georgetown also beat Memphis, Syracuse, and Villanova. I'm not saying Georgetown deserves to be in, but people blabbing about "quality wins" should shut it. 3.) 9-9 in the Big Ten with losses to WIS, WIS, PSU, and Iowa...ewww.

This is a bottom 5 thread in SoxTalk history.

Can someone please explain why Michigan deserves to be in the tournament besides the customary "they beat Duke and UCLA"?

I can't wait until 5/8 of my Elite 8 and 3/4 of my Final Four teams drop in the 2nd round.
