  1. QUOTE (fathom @ Jun 21, 2008 -> 01:32 PM) You post nothing about the actual game, that's the problem so many people have. Oh, I'm sorry. I'll contribute. Ahem... Losing to the Cubs is so unbearable! Ozzie is the worst manager in the world! fathom would outmanage Ozzie 10 times out of 10! OMG I'm never going to hear the end of it from Cubs fans! There.
  2. QUOTE (fathom @ Jun 21, 2008 -> 01:29 PM) Another awesome post by you. I was waiting for your inspirational remarks. I would be saying this no matter who it was against. My inspiring posts will continue as long as your s*** posts do.
  3. QUOTE (fathom @ Jun 21, 2008 -> 01:27 PM) Just fire Ozzie now, this is absolutely inexcusable. Why? Because it's against the Cubs? It's the 4th inning. We're down 5. It's not over with this wind blowing out.
  4. Cabrera SS Pierzynski C Quentin LF Dye RF Swisher 1B Crede 3B Wise CF Ramirez 2B Contreras P Is Paulie injuried? I have been on vacation the past week, can someone fill me in?
  5. QUOTE (DrunkBomber @ Jun 20, 2008 -> 11:54 PM) Perhaps my favorite
  6. QUOTE (DrunkBomber @ Jun 20, 2008 -> 11:48 PM) I forgot about that one than. The only one of those I remember was the grape drink. Im assuming youve seen the one with the shrooms, I think it was in San Fransisco. That's the same one from San Francisco. Killing Them Softly was D.C., the other was SF.
  7. QUOTE (DrunkBomber @ Jun 20, 2008 -> 11:36 PM) Was "For what its worth" the one where he did the shrooms? Also, if you havent seen it and like Chapelle, you should check out the Doug Stanhope I was talking about. Its called "No refunds" Killin them softly is by far the best Ive heard and I think it would be nearly impossible to beat. I used to listen to it on a CD in my car all the time. Ive probably heard it over 100x Oh yeah. I've got the DVD and seen it a ton. I've damn near memorized it. I'll check out this Stanhope guy soon. "For What It's Worth" is the one with the hobo masturbating on the bus, him meeting the Indian, and the classic "What the f*** is juice? I want some grape drink!" etc.
  8. QUOTE (DrunkBomber @ Jun 19, 2008 -> 08:03 PM) I think the fact that his best impersonation is of Johnny Carson gives us an idea of how far past his prime he is. On a related topic, has anyone seen Doug Stanhopes comedy special on Showtime? It was on like 2 months ago and its on demand now. It moved right up to my number two favorite comedy special behind the untouchable Dave Chapelle "Killen em softly" "Suck his dick, play with his balls, fix him a sandwich and don't talk too much." "Killin' Them Softly" and "For What It's Worth" are both absolutely phenomenal. Chappelle is my favorite comedian by far. I also enjoy Katt Williams. "American Hustle" and "Pimp Chronicles" are hysterical.
  9. QUOTE (tommy @ Jun 13, 2008 -> 09:19 PM) I noticed that if you post in the game thread from the start of the game, Sox win a lot more games. I have found the opposite to be true. Usually things go down the s***ter when fathom shows up mid-game. But I'm just biased because I hate him.
  10. QUOTE (whitesoxbrian @ Jun 13, 2008 -> 10:05 PM) when he came in to pinch-hit. This never happened.
  11. QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Jun 12, 2008 -> 07:10 AM) So my friend is throwing a weekend party at her lake house this weekend, free beer and free food. Does it get better than that? Yeah, a 4th of July weekend party at a lake house with free beer, food, fireworks, jet ski, and golf cart. Oh, and sharing a bed with 2 girls. But yours is good too.
  12. http://www.eonline.com/uberblog/b142763_su...ma_engaged.html I'm proud of the Serb. And being that Lima is a virgin and is waiting until after marriage...he's a lucky man. Oh, and here's an obligatory picture...
  13. QUOTE (scenario @ Jun 13, 2008 -> 03:21 PM) http://chicago.whitesox.mlb.com/news/press...sp&c_id=cws Loiza officially placed on 15-day DL. Title fixed.
  14. I'd love to see Pods come up to bat with a standing ovation and then he tips his helmet to the fans. That would make me feel good. He most certainly deserves to be cheered. Everyone on that 2005 team does.
  15. "M...M....Ma....Matu.....Matoooz.....how the f*** do you say this?"
  16. LOL, hard for Mike Vick to get a DUI when he's already in jail. Title fixed.
  17. Pink and Yellow Rangers?
  18. I'm going to reorganize this thread and add a few of my own on here.

    QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Jun 10, 2008 -> 11:48 PM) Kate Mara is the most underrated hot chick on earth me thinks. She is very hot in Shooter.
  20. QUOTE (greg775 @ Jun 10, 2008 -> 12:42 AM) Wouldn't it be something if Swish and Cabrera are just getting started and are about to hit the s*** out of the ball the rest of the summer? I will be the first to admit I was hating on both of them and even wanted Swish benched or merely released. It's "be honest" time. Did any of you, like me, want them off the team? Were any of you totally critical of the two? Congrats to both of them for not quitting. Amazing plate appearances by both of late. Ummm, no. I've defended both for the most part. I recall saying Cabrera would get hot when the weather improved. As for Swish, I didn't comment much when he struggled, but it was pretty evident he was really unlucky and caught in between sometimes. You wanted him to be released? My God.
  21. This is the first time I've seen the video of the incident. It looks like Navarro is jawing about Garza shaking him off and giving him the gopher ball and all Garza is saying is "I got you" meaning "Get the f*** away from me."
  22. QUOTE (SoxFan101 @ Jun 9, 2008 -> 04:32 PM) I think some of you are under-rating the Cubs. Without our weak division we would be hovering around .500 so calling them out for playing weak teams isn't fair. That being said I do think we have a better ball club and even though he has had early season success its hard to be scared of Dempster. We've played 29 home games compared to their 34. We're 17-17 on the road, they are 14-16. And the NL is worse than the AL anyway. Have you seen a Pirates game recently? Rockies? They are pathetic.
  23. QUOTE (whitesoxbrian @ Jun 9, 2008 -> 04:25 PM) The way we're playing makes me want to watch this: 2006 Opening Day http://vids.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseacti...;videoid=893953 I'm a fan of all Chicago teams, sans the Cubs, but the Sox team is by far my most important. I live and die with the Sox, and any video of 2005 just gives me goosebumps over and over again. Here's to hoping 2008 ends much like 2005...
  24. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Jun 9, 2008 -> 04:08 PM) Looking at our upcoming schedule, we have a chance to go on a serious roll. We've got a terrible Tigers team and the crap that is the NL (save the *barf* Cubs) all this month. The Cubs don't scare me one bit. Outside of Zambrano, who we have hit before, their rotation isn't scary at all and they've benefited from playing s*** teams like Pittsburgh, Houston, Colorado, etc a trillion times.
