  1. QUOTE (iamshack @ Apr 15, 2012 -> 08:24 AM) What are your workout goals? Don't really have any at the moment. It's been more of a lifestyle change for me. I have more of a goal look/feel than a goal weight. But eventually I'll want to bulk up.
  2. Hossa ruled out for game 4, officially. Q says very good chance Saad plays. Now get Hayes in there for Bollig and let's go win this series.
  3. QUOTE (IlliniKrush @ Apr 17, 2012 -> 04:19 PM) You need to stick to basketball or something. And you need to be less of a know-it-all or something.
  4. I saw this yesterday and thought it was amazing. I got chills seeing it, and when hologram Tupac and Snoop were performing, it was great. I think it's a great idea. I always thought Pac was still alive until a few years ago.
  5. QUOTE (IlliniKrush @ Apr 17, 2012 -> 02:14 PM) Yup. I thought he might get some sort of suspension, though there isn't a lot of similar plays to this with a goalie. Goalies are the furthest thing from fair game out of the crease, it's even worse than QBs. Which is fine, if you want to have goalies being able to be hit, go play a video game. The onus is on the player, plain and simple. And Shaw caused the contact, shoulder to head, there's zero denying that. Shoulder to goalie's head behind the net = not good. All of the "acting", injury concerns, etc, could play into it, but when you get down to it, again, a skater running into a goalie, especially his head, is going to get you in trouble. If that happened to Crawford, I'd hope he would act like he got shot, too, and try to parlay it into something worse. I can't blame Smith just because he's wearing a Coyote logo. Is 3 games fair? I don't know, I thought he'd get 1-2. . And yeah Phoenix can f*** off for playing games, they are just being stupid on top of it. But that doesn't matter all that much to me. But, looking at it objectively, if this happened to Crawford, people would be going nuts calling for a series suspension for say, Torres, for making initial contact with the head behind the net. Then tell Mike Smith to go f*** off and stop coming out of the crease to check guys, and tell the NHL they owe us a power play and a goal.
  6. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Apr 16, 2012 -> 07:42 AM) I actually said something I never thought I would say last night. I hate them more than Detroit. At least I can respect what the Wings do. I've had this same feeling for a couple years now. I respect the Red Wings and their organization, I just despise their fans. The Canucks? I despise everything about them.
  7. I love when the Canucks lose more than any other franchise in all of sports.
  8. QUOTE (IlliniKrush @ Apr 15, 2012 -> 12:49 AM) That's great, but it doesn't matter at all what the intentions were. No it wasn't on purpose. But a shoulder to a goalie's head behind the net is going to result in that, and rightly so. Did you see the overheard angle? It was helmet to helmet, there wasn't much shoulder, if ANY, that hit Smith. He got 5 and a 10+game for that, Weber got 2 for smashing Zetterberg's head in the glass. And Smith embellished the s*** out it.
  9. The first few paragraphs of this article is about how awesome and amazing the Tigers are, and how they know it. Also, why the hell is he in the Tigers clubhouse? Most Sox beat reporters RARELY go into the opposition's clubhouse.
  10. I'm shaking right now. My heart can't handle this.
  11. QUOTE (Reddy @ Apr 13, 2012 -> 02:06 PM) any of you guys take pre-workout supplements like noxplode, superpump 250, etc? trying to decide if it's worth it. I'm not big on putting chemicals in my body - but i'm skinny and trying to gain mass, and a pre-workout drink would probably help me lift harder... Two of my good buddies do. One take NOXplode and the other takes Jack3d. The Jack3d is some CRAZY stuff and he got HUGE in a couple months, but even he says it scares him sometimes. He'll get an accelerated heartrate and even have mood swings and get overly angry at times. The NOxplode is a lot "safer" and used way more widely. I've been thinking about starting it myself, but I don't really like the idea of taking something to make my blood vessels open up and my heart pump faster. Honestly, from what I've researched, taking anything with a good bit of caffeine before a workout will give you a boost of energy and prolong your workout/improve your focus.
  12. Andrew Shaw gets a 5 minute major and a game misconduct for incidental head-to-head contact. Shea Weber grabs a guy by the neck and slams his head into the glass and gets 2 minutes.
  13. QUOTE (Soxfest @ Apr 14, 2012 -> 10:24 PM) Shaw with a reckless penalty...................stupid. Are you kidding me!?!? He has as much of a right to the puck there as Smith does. It was incidental head-to-head contact. Smith went down like a f***ing sniper got him then as soon as Shaw was sent off, he was fine. Two horses*** calls have led to two PHX goals.
  14. Hard to win when it's 5+3 on 5. They blew the too many men in game 1 and then gave them the horrible goalie interference. I despise complaining about refs, but the NHL playoffs have been AWFUL all around.
  15. QUOTE (greg775 @ Apr 13, 2012 -> 11:03 PM) Were you guys surprised the Hawks got outplayed so badly in OT? You'd think that incredible miracle goal with 10 seconds left in the third would have given the Hawks the momentum for OT. Instead, wasn't that a horses*** effort in OT? Uh, no. The Hawks came out firing to start OT and the Yotes were able to take their punch. PHX came back with their surge and the Hawks made some crucial errors defensively that allowed for the GWG. Remember, regular season OT is 5 minutes of 4 on 4. The Yotes scored more than 10 minutes into OT if I'm not mistaken.
  16. QUOTE (flippedoutpunk @ Apr 13, 2012 -> 03:31 PM) 5 best Left fielders of all time, dayan, dayan, dayan dayan and dayan, because he spits hot fire That. Is. AWESOME. QUOTE (fathom @ Apr 13, 2012 -> 03:44 PM) Huge hit by Morel there! And yes, I love a leadoff man who can get an extra base hit! I'm scared to look at what his OPS and SLG are right now because there is no way it stays this high. He's been great to start this year though.
  17. What an awesome game to be at. The atmosphere in the park was awesome, and beating a good Tigers team feels great. It's great to see the team playing well early on. There is excitement again! Watching the highlights on the Sox website, it sounds like Hawk was VERY excited.
  18. Sharp was absolutely awful all game. Hossa didn't do a whole lot either. Sometimes this team plays with their head so far up their ass and make some terrible decisions. Win more faceoffs, clear the zone and go get 'em in game 2.
  19. If Bollig sniffs the ice in game 2 I'm going to flip.
  20. QUOTE (SoxAce @ Apr 12, 2012 -> 10:42 PM) Being severely out hit and horribly losing the face off numbers. Add a terrible power play and this team has a short series ahead of them. Fortunately the Yotes PP has looked awful too. They've certainly had their chances against Smith.
  21. 2nd period = bad. Long long changes, blown TMM, ugh.
  22. I would have Toews' kids if necessary. We'll figure it out.
  23. Here we go, boys! The magic number is 16.
  24. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Apr 12, 2012 -> 08:18 PM) Rose has got to be about -20 in this game. -24 at half. Eww.
